• Steele and Mr. Fuji are the only two wrestlers in WWE history who lasted long enough with the company to have challenged Bruno Sammartino, Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund AND Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. In addition, Steele is the lone one of the two to also feud with future champion Randy Savage (when the "Macho Man" was Intercontinental Champion), and several times wrestled former champion The Iron Sheik and future World Champion Bret Hart.
