* CatharsisFactor:
** Seeing Miles perform and succeed at his Leap of Faith after so many failures, such as being laughed at by his classmates and having the other Web-Slingers doubt him, is not only awesome, but also satisfying and well-earned.
** For some, seeing the Web Slingers, and also, Peter B. Parker, get ambushed and demolished in the first round of the final battle by , Scorpion, and Tombstone can be satisfying given how hard they were on Miles, given how they challenged him to difficult fights and how they forced him to stay behind and stopped him from .

* MexicansLoveSpeedyGonzales: While Peni's depiction received plenty of love from the many members of the Western fandom (yes, even the Otakus love her), her popularity in Japan exploded to the point that she gets more fan art than the other five Spider-People combined, for obvious reasons because Japanese entertainment love to include Moe-ish Girls.
* Moe: Considering she's deliberately designed to be a cute anime schoolgirl, Peni Parker ends up being this. And plenty of people welcome it.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: While Aaron Davis is a CoolUncle to Miles, in some ways he's arguably worse than his comic counterpart. In the comics, the Prowler was a thief, but here, he's a hitman for the Kingpin. He tried to murder Spider-Man on multiple occasions and would have if not for Kingpin doing it himself. Hell, he was ready to murder Miles until he unmasked himself. For that reason, Miles and Jefferson making a poster dedicated to him feels a bit out of place for some.

* RainbowLens: While many have read the basic storyline of Franchise/SpiderMan as queer, with hiding a part of your identity from those around you, this film takes it up to eleven, with Miles initially trying to ignore his new abilities being eerily similar to the denial and internalized hate many queer people feel, the spider-people sensing others like them as an allusion to 'gaydar,' and Miles asking his father if he really hates Spider-Man, just like queer people often ask their families how they really feel about LGBTQ+ people and issues before coming out. this isn't an alternate aesop, its a rephrasing of the same aesop

* AlternateAesopInterpretation: The film has the recurring phrase "Anyone can wear the mask" and the commonly accepted interpretation for this Aesop is that anyone can do heroic things and gender, race, or age are not barriers to performing acts of heroism. This interpretation says that if a person gets spider-powers and if that person is willing to guide themselves more or less by the mantra "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" and they adhere to the belief that no matter how many times they are knocked down, they will always get back up, then it doesn't matter what face is under that mask... a young white blond male, a middle-aged man, an Afro-Latino teenager, a girl of Japanese descent or even an anthropomorphic pig. Any gender, age, race, or species can wear that mask and bear the mantle of Spider-Man.
