** While Leafy stole Dream Island and became villainous in BFDIA-IDFB, the reason Firey didn't let her onto Dream Island was because she wanted to get off his Ferris Wheel, one that would kill her with fire and actually did. Firey ignored the fact that fire can kill people and built the Ferris Wheel with no consideration of the fact. Even though they make up in BFDI 25, Firey purposely starts to ignore Leafy just to look good in front of the others, It's not hard to side with Leafy after she learns about Firey's actions.

** We're supposed to feel bad for Spongy in BFB 14, despite the fact he sabotaged everyone on Team Ice Cube and '''[[DisproportionateRetribution left them to die in the lava]]''' [[DisproportionateRetribution because they couldn't recognize that he was the imposter in BFB 12's challenge]].

** On the contestants side, we have Pin during BFDIA. While she generally avoided this treatment while only her limbs were removed, after the removal of her face everyone came to the agreement that the rest of the prizes would only exist to torture Pin, not helped by the very next episode shrinking her down to the size of an actual pin. The general consensus is that she will be turned into Nonexisty in all but name by the end of the season, and some people even joke that Pin will also be KilledOffForReal, despite the fact that she is [[SavedByCanon guaranteed to recover from any bad stuff that happens to her in BFDIA due to BFDI seasons that chronologically take place after BFDIA]].

* MemeticLoser: Among what small of a following he has, [[TheGhost Nonexisty]] is seen as such. In Season 1, he didn't receive enough votes to join the game, Season 2 saw the same exact outcome with an additional disqualification due to not being present, IDFB was put on indefinite hiatus before it could get off the ground, preventing Nonexisty from getting the chance to be voted in,[[note]]He's also the only contestant disqualified in BFDIA 1 to be trapped in the TLC to begin with.[[/note]] he was then the only contestant previously up for debut to not join BFB aside from Evil Leafy and in TPOT, he receives a double middle finger; first by not receiving enough votes to join the game, and second by him getting another disqualification and being shoved aside for not solving the prime number issue and being replaced by Price Tag. WordOfGod also states that had Nonexisty gotten the most votes, he would've joined the game. And it's not like it's impossible to do anything with him, as WebAnimation/InanimateInsanity Episode 4 shows him escaping from the Locker of Losers with Nickel.

** [[CuteAndPsycho Bell]] may have her moments of anger, but her voice and sweetness balances it out.
** [[TheChewToy Bomby]] is a hyperactive and high pitched contestant with an enthusiasm for bananas and a tendency to be blown up.
** [[CuteBookworm Book]] is a friendly and sociable contestant with a positive outlook and a close friendship with Ice Cube.
** [[AscendedFangirl Bracelety]] is a hyperactive super-fan of Ice Cube, and while their high pitched voice may be grating to some, their loyalty to Ice Cube is undeniable.
** [[ElmuhFuddSyndwome Bubble]] is easily the nicest member of Freesmart, but is also endearing due to her accent, sociability, and positivity.
** [[InTouchWithHisFeminineSide Cake]] due to his appearance, voice, and closeness to those he likes (he is heartbroken when Eggy and Clock split up and join separate teams, and tearfully accepts Naily's invitation to her team).
** [[CheerfulChild Grassy]] is endearing due to his small stature, soft voice, cheerful demeanor, and generally doing whatever he can to contribute to his team.
** [[BewareTheNiceOnes Ice Cube]] comes off as TheBabyOfTheBunch of Freesmart, due to her limited vocabulary, soft voice, and the fact that others (especially Book) tend to be protective of her. The last point extends to other teams, as Clock leaves her out of the challenge in TPOT 4 out of concern for her safety, and Death PACT Again throws the challenge to save her. In addition, she gets shrunk in BFB 13, and remains that way till TPOT 2.
** [[TheFriendNobodyLikes Leafy]] due to her friendly personality, complete with her being one of the most well-known contestants in the franchise.
** [[ShockAndAwe Lightning]] due to his soft-hearted nature and ear-pleasing voice despite having the power to zap people unconscious and has even regretted killing dozens of people.
** [[PungeonMaster Naily]] due to her voice, stature, and penchant for pun-making.
** [[AllYourColorsCombined Puffball]] due to her appearance, musical voice, and ability to change size and colour.
** [[PerpetualSmiler Rocky]] due to his silent, childlike demeanor.
** [[GenkiGirl Ruby]] due to her hyperactivity, loyalty to Freesmart, and friendliness.
** [[LovableCoward Woody]] is a shy, child-like contestant who was scared of everything and had a tendency to speak with crying sounds (Wah wah!). Eventually, he grew out of both by the time BFB ended, being able to speak properly, overcome his fears, and help others do the same.
** X is also really, ''really'' cute, being by far the kindest (and meekest) of both the show's hosts and any of the numbers seen.

* In BFDIA 11, "Lots Of Mud", Jack Frew disintegrates into ashes, It's cruel that it happens to a child, but it is still hilariously silly.

** Black Hole in the appropriately titled "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life". First there is the brief misunderstanding when Marker says "he sucks" (he was talking about sucking up the other team's blocks). Then both Pen and Teardrop take advantage of his pacifism. Pen blocks him from sucking up Are You Okay's tower which, being that he used to be on the same team as Black Hole, hits him hard. As for Teardrop, Black Hole is immune to her laser gun's attacks and he attempts to make her loose by sucking up her blocks. But when he goes for her stack, she goes right in front of him, blocking him from doing so. She then puts on an evil smirk and then chases Black Hole away from her stack, but ultimately trips on a banana peel, causing her to be killed by him anyways. It is then that Black Hole has had enough.

* HarsherInHindsight: In TPOT 2, Pin goes on a long rant about how BFDIA sucked, and tells Coiny to stop pretending it was good. At the time, it seemed like a random AuthorTract about BFDIA's quality and it being incomplete, but then BFDIA got UnCanceled, and in BFDIA 11, in addition to losing her limbs six episodes earlier, Pin [[spoiler:loses her face and becomes an immobile, yet [[AndIMustScream still alive]] husk]], which retroactively gives Pin a good reason to hate BFDIA.

* SweetDreamsFuel:

** It's not hard to feel bad for Pin when she laments the loss of her limbs on several occasions during BFDIA 5 and 6. Things only get worse for her as she loses her face in BFDIA 11.

His loneliness is bad enough that even the few people he has a mutual friendship with barely know what he likes to do for fun. [[spoiler: [[SubvertedTrope Unfortunately, he stops qualifying for this in BFB 14 when he leaves Team Ice Cube and pretty much everyone else to die in the lava for forgetting him in BFB 12]].]]
** [[spoiler:'''Leafy.''' She was practically exiled, and has to live with being seen as basically a monster for the rest of her life, being trapped in Yoyleland. Not to mention that, despite a seemingly aggressive outward appearance towards other contestants, she seems to still care about them, given she backed away at Coiny's "deep-fried breaths" in IDFB 1. But she wasn't even able to say a word in preventing this, just out of fear of what'd happen to her. And if [[AndIMustScream you really think about that'd feel,]] [[FridgeHorror being unable to help old friends that you still care about because they hate you...]] Her elimination in BFB really sells it, given how she was [[IJustWantToHaveFriends just trying to be friendly again]] ([[ControlFreak even if she came off as rather controlling and pushy]]). When she rejoins the game and attempts to further her reformation, the rest of BEEP don't want to be associated with her. To top it all off, in Take the Tower, she has a brief panic attack when faced with fighting Firey. She really does not want to fight him and tries to make excuses, but Gelatin and Firey are confused by this and try to push her into fighting. Fortunately, she and Firey buried the hatchet in BFB 22, and her HeroicSacrifice (or at least her attempt at it) won her 20,000 more votes than Teardrop in voting the next episode based on that act alone (as well as rabid Fireafy shippers who are over the moon that their ship has been refloated).]]

** ''IDFB'''s opening theme, a nice little chiptune number that transitions into a remix of the original series' theme. It's not uncommon for fans to confess that the nostalgia made them cry.
