* HairTriggerTemper: The FatalFlaw of Nine and Thorn. {{Downplayed}} with Shadow. Their [[ConflictBall predisposition towards fighting instead of discussion]] causes them to end up making their respective problems worse: [[spoiler:Shadow’s habit of solving problems with his fists starts the whole conflict when he attacks Sonic after receiving the vision of the portal Sonic creates in New Yoke, instead of just telling him what he saw. However, he's proven wrong when the portal rejects him as before, briefly rendering him unconscious and sending him rocketing towards the black hole at the bottom of the Shatterverse.
