* Fanservice: The men of the comic tend to be drawn rather... well-endowed, and in poses where it's hard to miss this endowment. [[http://hotwab.webcomic.ws/comics/4 Case in point, the first reveal of Stormgod's costume]].

!!This comic shows examples of:
* ActionGirl: There are a variety of female superheroes (and some who are less heroic) who all are willing to get rough and tumble in a fight. Even holographic AI HOL-II gets in on the action, despite being intangible.
* AlternateUniverse: Star Savage comes from one. So does Go-Bee. G.I. Ant has adventures across universes, due to being dimensionally displaced.
* AmnesiacHero: G.I. Ant wakes up with no memory of who he is, deciding to do good with the powers he has.
* AnimalThemedSuperbeing: Ghostmoth, G.I. Ant, Damoizelle, Araknya, Power Pawz, Roidmantis, Ramborg, Tanner, Cybat, Tyrannok, and Go-Bee all have animal themes, whether reflected in their name or not, with some even being people who went through transhuman experiments to mix human and animal abilities.
* BigBeautifulMan: Fighting alongside men and women normally sporting perfect heroic physiques, Power Pawz's extremely plus-size physique definitely stands out.
* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: Force-Ar has an F on his chest. Avengin' Arrow has an A on his. Captain Charizma has interlocking Cs.
* TheCape: In a cast of primarily vain, image-obsessed celebrities, Force-Ar is portrayed as having noble intentions and only truly wanting to do good.
* ChestInsignia: Many heroes have insignia on their chests, whether it be the first letter of their codename, or an abstract representation of what their codename symbolizes.
* CodeName: This being a superhero universe, the characters don't tend to use their real names in action. This is especially enforced by those who have a media presence, sometimes being given said names by their sponsors, as is the case with Star Savage.
* Fanservice: The men of the comic tend to be drawn rather... well-endowed, and in poses where it's hard to miss this endowment. [[http://hotwab.webcomic.ws/comics/4 Case in point, the first reveal of Stormgod's costume]].
* {{Flight}}: Several heroes can fly, whether winged or not.
* HeroicBuild: Men in the comic have rippling muscles (with exceptions like Power Pawz) while the women are buxom and thin but athletic.
* MostCommonSuperPower: The women in the comic are almost all rather busty.
* TheMultiverse: Hinted at by the "Beyond" in the comic's title, there are also universes and dimensions in the comic beyond their primary one. In fact, Star Savage and Go-Bee are from outside the primary universe.
* SharedUniverse: With ''Webcomic/NightTwink''.
* StoutStrength: Power Pawz has enhanced strength while also having a rather round figure.
* SuperheroesWearTights: While some heroes wear power armor and the like, most opt for costumes which are form-fitting enough to leave nothing to the imagination.
* SuperStrength: A few characters, but most notably Power Pawz, as his strength is more apparent based on what he does and how he looks.
* SuperVillain: There are several in the comic, and there are even some who work with the heroes in order to better gain money from the sponsors.
* {{Telepathy}}: Psi-Girl is telepathic, a power which is rare in this universe, this proves to be a problem for her as she becomes the target of an organization who wants to experiment on her in a bid to give the power to their own people.
* WingedHumanoid: Damoizelle and Cybat both have wings, being augmented with DNA from a dragonfly and a bat, respectively.
