Added DiffLines:

Watcher of the 2000s is a webseries by Cuttleboss (also called Cuttles) about a young man that reviews various media from the 2000s decade, mainly cartoons. The series is also presented in the style of a third person visual novel with Western styled sprites. They are mostly focused on being informative, with some dry humor thrown in. [[HalfArcSeason Most episodes are just reviews, but there are some episodes that show Watcher dealing with outside forces, not directly related to the reviews]].

[[folder: Regular Tropes]]
* AprilFoolsDay: On April 1, 2014, a review for Film/DragonBallEvolution was disguised as a review for Film/TheWatcher.
* AwesomeButImpractical: Thinks dragons add an awesome factor to Eragon but that doesn’t save the film.
* CatchPhrase: “Hey everybody!”
* CausticCritic: Generally averted, but sometimes becomes this when dealing with subjects like Film/DragonBallEvolution and post SeasonalRot WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory.
* CatharsisFactor: Edits together a segment of Action Hank beating up Ponies representing Cartoon Network executives set to UN Owen was Her because of the SeasonalRot of WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory.
* DeadpanSnarker: Watcher makes a lot of snide remarks.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: The name of the series is quite fitting for most of the media the Watcher tackles, but not all the time.
* FanBoy: Watcher confesses to being one for Creator/CristinaVee.
* HalfArcSeason: The series fits into this, and the trope is discussed in the WesternAnimation/TeenTitans Review, [[LampshadeHanging which is an arc episode.]]
* ObviouslyEvil: When referring to Trigon in WesternAnimation/TeenTitans
--> '''Watcher:''' An untrustworthy demon, who could have foreseen this!?"
* OneOfUs: A fan of many cartoons, and likes using music from many video games such as VideoGame/BlazBlue and VideoGame/ChronoCross. Also makes references to ThisVeryWiki.
* PrecisionFStrike: [[spoiler: Delivers two in a row near the end of Project 13’ when most of the time, Watcher rarely uses PG-13 Language.]]
--> [[spoiler: '''Watcher:''' It’s… such bullshit! Everything we were told as children was a lie! The world is full of shit."]]

* ActingForTwo: Cuttleboss voices The Watcher, Khathulon, and Joffrey.
* AffablyEvil: Khathulon. He offers mercy towards the Freedom Warriors and tries to reward the Watcher out of pity for his empty life.
* BigBad: Khathulon
* [[spoiler: BittersweetEnding: In Project 13’ TheBadGuyWins utterly, and Khathulon not only managed to win the battle, but crushed much of Wayne’s hope. However, Wayne saves Rosette by wiping her memory and well as his own, and then develops a friendship with her back on Earth.]]
* BrokenBird: Rosette, at least according to Joffrey.
* DarkerAndEdgier: Project 13’ is a very dark arc for a review-based webseries, and when it comes close to its final episodes, the reviews become more serious.
* EldritchAbomination: Khathulon, who is clearly inspired by the CthulhuMythos. [[spoiler: Moreso in his true form.]]
* FauxAffablyEvil: Khathulon if you get on his bad side.
* HotLibrarian: Watcher mentions that he likes these. [[spoiler: Rosette becomes one at the end when her memory is wiped.]]
* HotScientist: Rosette
* IceQueen: Watcher calls Rosette one. She’s actually a DefrostingIceQueen.
* JerkAss: Khathulon, Zandos, and Mr. Magnetic.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Rosette.
* KnightOfCerebus: Zandos’s introduction into Project 13’ led to a dark turn in the story. Khathulon himself became this a few videos after his first appearance.
* ManipulativeBastard: Khathulon
* ObviouslyEvil: Khathulon and Zandos. The former is a giant purple squid with glowing red eyes, a shell covered in spikes, and a [[EvilSoundsDeep deep voice]]. The ladder wears a creepy mask, and his EstablishingCharacterMoment is to murder an offscreen character while laughing about it.
* TheReveal: The Watcher’s name is [[spoiler: David “Wayne” Chu]].
