* BaaBomb: The Blue Team tries calming down a bomb named Andy with imagination therapy. One of the images presented was a flock of sheep. "[[{{Worms}} The kind that don't blow up]]."

* Leitmotif: Carolina and Tex have a rather special one whenever the two cross paths. It mixes the Agent Tex theme with the vocals from Extraction.

** Grif forgetting to bring ammo. Ironically, this actually saves his life.
*** Sadly, [[spoiler:it doesn't stop Tex from using Grif's own shotgun like a croquet mallet, slamming him in his balls]], and make him smash into Simmons.

* EigenPlot: Sort of. [[spoiler: Each of the Reds and Blues participating in the final battle all play a part in defeating the Meta. Grif jumps on its back and manages to steal its Brute Shot, which leaves it open to being stabbed through the chest with the energy sword by Tucker, which in turn slows the Meta down enough for Sarge to attach the Warthog's towing cable to its chest plating, dragging Meta to its doom when Grif and Simmons push the Warthog over the edge of the abyss.]]

* AnimatedAdaptation: Well slightly more animated then the in-game footage that is used.

** The story was originally going to be about the Reds, with Church and Tucker always observing from the cliff and making comments, a la StatlerAndWaldorf

* OurGhostsAreDifferent: Church and Tex. Sarge, briefly. [[spoiler:Then it turns out they aren't ghosts at all. Washington is incredulous at everyone's belief that they are- reacting in much the same way a person would in RealLife. Also, Sarge wasn't a ghost. RoosterTeeth confirmed that he was in recovery mode, like Donut in Revelations.]]

* RuleOfFunny: Whether or not people can understand Lopez tends to be based on how funny it is (most notably O'Malley, who is generally able to understand Lopez perfectly, and yet can still be tricked into insulting himself in Spanish). Also applies to Recreation.

The degree of planning and precision this would require, and using Wyoming and Gamma's time-bending powers to send them to the past [[strike: and future]] in order to further manipulate them is implausibly ridiculous (quite in keeping with the tone of the series.]]

** It's notable that when Caboose started to get mad at Washington for how he was talking to Sheila, Church apparently considered an enraged Caboose to be more dangerous than Washington.

* TheUnintelligible: The Meta is making...some sort of noise. I guess it's speech? Kind of? Wash seems to understand what he's saying, although that's often RuleOfFunny in effect.

** The jet-pack mooks in Episode 17, who are decidedly harder to kill than ordinary mooks amd pull off some imprssive stunts of their own. Just one of them was able to out-muscle [[TheBrute MAINE!]]

* FlipFlopOfGod Donut was killed by washington (the recreation dvd commentary confirms this), then he revives in the sponsors-only ending of Chapter 13 of Revelation.

** [[spoiler: the relationship between Sarge and Grif in battle is noticeably different than their normal interactions. There is the aforementioned Grif saving Sarge from the flying warthog incident, but more importantly Sarge seems to rely on Grif in battle. The best example is in the finale where Sarge allows the Meta to grab a hold of him in order to attach the tow cable to him. Sarge's entire plan relied on Grif figuring out what to do, and that shows a great deal of trust in the minor junior private negative first class.]]

** [[DamnedByFaintPraise This says more about the rest of the Reds than it does Grif]]. That said, Grif is making a spirited attempt at succeeding where [[MASH Corporal Klinger]] failed, deliberately being insubordinate and as useless as possible, so it may be that he actually is legitimately intelligent, but if he did anything to show it, it would screw up everything he's been working on since he got drafted.

The ninth season has finished recently, ending on a cliffhangar to lead into season ten. It is divided between "{{prequel}} stuff," regarding Project Freelancer in full CGI (albeit based on {{Halo 3}} assets); and "present stuff," following the continuing adventures of the Blood Gulch crew told via HaloReach machinima.

* ADateWithRosiePalms: Tucker again mistakenly believes Donut is a girl instead of a guy in pink armor. He then comments on how awkward that makes what he did twenty minutes ago during "alone time".

* ADayInTheLimelight: The Dakotas get a focus plot early in the season, and C.T. gets a character establishing scene about midway through, but the Prequel half of the season is definitively more about [[TheAce Carolina]], [[TheLancer York]], [[OnlySaneMan Washington]], [[BadAss Tex]], and, to a lesser extent, [[TheBrute Maine]].

The main series, ''The Blood Gulch Chronicles,'' ran for five seasons for a total of 100 episodes, spawning two short spinoff series detailing sideplots (''Out Of Mind'' and ''Recovery One''), and later, a renewal of the series; ''RedVsBlue Reconstruction'', which is essentially the sixth season of the series featuring both the side and main plots colliding. After that, a miniseries called ''Relocated'' bridged the gap to the next series, ''Recreation'', essentially the seventh season, which ends on a cliffhanger.
