* GagDub: The episode "Care Balls" is a joke dub of the ''WesternAnimation/CareBears1980s'' episode "The Care-A-Lot Games". The Madballs are superimposed into the episode, with a humorous dub to fit this change.

* LighterAndSofter: Of a sort. While still ramped up in the gross factor of the brand, this iteration tones down a lot of gore, making it far more cartoony and removing instances of blood that prior series had.

Added DiffLines:

* VomitIndiscretionShot: All scenes of vomit in the show are show in full detail. Even if a character is seen puking offscreen, the result portion ''will'' be onscreen.

Taking a trip back into the medium of animation after their failed [[WesternAnimation/{{Madballs}} attempt in the 80s]], the ''Madballs'' struck with another attempt in the 2010s. With a revival to the toyline, the ''Madballs'' were back in full force, and had the content to back it up.

Instead of going by direct to video like the prior attempt, this ''Madballs'' series instead supplemented itself with web animation. Releasing on the official [=YouTube=] channel for the brand, this iteration of the franchise would back itself up by giving each episode a specific theme, such as sports or school, and then have the Madballs, this iteration made up of Screamin' Meemie, Oculus Orbus, Slobulus, Skull Face, Horn Head, and Dust Brain, interact with these themes in their own twisted ways. The channel would also be supplemented by live action skits and prank video demonstrations.

The toyline iteration of this series would see a very weird life. Two series would release for this brand, with a third series planned but cancelled. Despite this, a multitude of characters were designed for this era, the characters would get toys in Sonic kid's meals, the brand would crossover with ''VideoGame/NeedForSpeed'', and merchandise prints for this era would continue long after the ending of the toyline.

!!The 2010s iteration of ''Madballs'' contains examples of:
*AdaptationalDumbass: Dust Brain, in a contrast to not just his standard-intelligence original brand's personality, but to his super-genius counterpart in the 80s cartoon, is the least intelligent of all the Madballs.
* AdaptationalVillainy: Skull Face, originally a heroic character in iterations of the franchise, is now a supervillain bent on world domination.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: This iteration of Horn Head tries to keep a tough personality, but gets easily nervous around pretty girls and has a secret modeling career. He is very defensive about his issues, and tries to keep them a secret.
*ButtMonkey: Slobulus is the Madball that's often the butt of the jokes, being kicked around the most and ending up in the worst predicaments.
*CanonForeigner:
**Skull Face's exposed brain was an inanimate object in the original eras, leaving Lobe as a new character for the line.
**Many Madballs in the toyline, both released and scrapped, are characters that never existed in the 80s era.
*GrossoutShow: Despite the original franchise having its origins as an 80s gross franchise, this iteration relishes in it more, with far more bodily humor.
*NoIndoorVoice: Screamin' Meemie, fitting of his name, has zero volume control, which isn't helped by his raging temper.
* OrganAutonomy: Lobe, Skull Face's exposed brain, has a mind of his own. While far dumber than Skull Face, he's also far nicer.
* RogerRabbitEffect: The way the web series is animated. Live action scenes have the Madballs animated into them, with dubbed voices and animated eyes and mouths placed over the humans.
*SurferDude: To compound his AdaptationalDumbass nature, this iteration of Dust Brain gives him a surfer accent, giving him a carefree and laid-back vibe.
*ToylineExclusiveCharacter: Only the Series 1 characters made it to the webseries, with everyone else relegated to the toyline.
*WingdingEyes: Almost all of the Madballs in this era are given X-shaped pupils as a design quirk. Oculus Orbus is the only exception, getting an X-shaped highlight in his standard pupil instead.
*YouDontLookLikeYou:
**Arrgh, normally made to look like a one-eyed blue Frankenstein’s monster, is instead made up of two separate faces sewn together to form one face.
**Snake Bait, normally a gorgon, is instead a zombified face inside the mouth of a snake.
