''The Infinite Ocean'' is a point-and-click flash game by Jonas Kyratzes, the co-writer of ''VideoGame/TheTalosPrinciple''. The game is done in escape room style and you have to browse through various monocromactic rooms interacting with both objects on the scenario and computer terminals. Each terminal has several entries with text telling the plot of the game. Players also need to scan several terminal entries searching for passwords, which can be used to unlock other terminals.

Whilst a single playthrough can be done in less than five minutes [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk4lrgn6W94]], comprehensively reading all text in the game can take up to two hours.

Currently, the only known way to play it is using the Newgrounds Player [[https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/555087]].

'''The game is intended by its creator to be played blindly.[[http://www.jonas-kyratzes.net/games/the-infinite-ocean/]] Expect spoilers.'''

* ArtificialBrilliance: [[spoiler:Jerry lampshades SGDS to be this constantly. SGDS also mentions itself to have superior abstraction abilities than human.]]
* ArtificialIntelligence: [[spoiler:SGDS is one. The old project ASD is other.]]
* BenevolentAI: [[spoiler:SGDS is deeply pacifistic at its core, and needed to be reprogrammed in order to function as a military weapon.]]
* PointAndClickGame: The game is made in escape-room format.
* RoomEscapeGame: Hidden items are placed in the rooms. You need to interact with them in order to unlock new areas and access to new terminals.
* SelectiveMemory: The game's protagonist is heavily implied to be either [[spoiler:SGDS or one of the scientists. In either way, they react to the messages on the walls with knowledge of the plot.]]
* YouWakeUpInARoom: The game is composed of several rooms and corridors. You start in one.
