The plot of the game has you playing as a sleuth out to get a {{Leprechaun}}'s pot of gold. However, said leprechaun isn't about to let his gold get pilfered, and will try to stop you. If he catches you, then it's GameOver. You can increase the worth of the pot of gold once you've reached it by touching trees, which somehow causes their colour to change. Of course, the leprechaun can also touch the trees, which changes their colour back.
The game was released in 1982.

!!''Leprechaun'' contains examples of:
* {{Leprechaun}}: The leprechaun in the game is out to protect his pot of gold.
* OneWordTitle: Leprechaun, naturally.
