* AntiPoopSocking: Like many online game contemporaries, this one has a "stamina" system; playing in many gameplay modes will require you to spend a number of stamina, and they regenerate in a rate of one every 6 minutes. The stamina limit is increased by upping the captain's level. This would prevent the players from doing too much in one sitting. You can buy more stamina count by spending crystals, but the more you buy, the more expensive it'll get.
* ATasteOfPower: Some of the time limited event allows you to use level 80 and Rank SSS version of a certain character along with their optimal equipment for a test run.

** There's also a minor version of it in most levels. Each level has 3 "medals" that can be acquired by completing specific objectives depending on the level, such as bringing a certain character to play, doing a number of combo hits, taking only a few amount of hits, etc. Successfully getting the medals will give you some Crystals, and in story mode, some Extra Modes and the Co-op Raid, collecting enough medals in a cluster of levels will give you bonus rewards such as money and materials.

* AnInteriorDesignerIsYou: In the Dormitory, you're given 3 rooms (2 bedrooms and 1 center room) for your SuperDeformed version of the Valkyries (and, later, Stigmata) to live in. By decorating your rooms, you'll gain "comfort points" which are used to determine your dorm's "comfort level", and doing renovations in your dorm's rooms will let you put in more decorations. The comfort level determines how much the dorm's energy supply regenerates, which are used for essential appliances in the center room: the stamina and technique training machines (increases your valkyries' EXP and skill points respectively), the weapon and stigmata enhancement pods (increases the EXP for weapon or stigmata), and the vending machine (which, if your stamina is full, will store a portion of the excess stamina). Aside from that, sometimes the valkyries will ask for certain appliance-related requests (such as wanting to eat, sleep or playing games), which would require you to buy the certain appliance so you can direct them to it; you'll gain a few affection points for the specific valkyrie and few goodies that way.

The points are for gaining extra rewards for the armada; accumulate enough of the points with your armada mates and you can get even better rewards. The catch is that your healing abilities are disabled; you either have to wait for the health pickups to drop (which is rare) or gain the buffs exclusive to this mode which lets you heal by doing certain actions (which has a slow rate, and comes with a price). You're allowed to bring more than 3 valkyries (you play 3, the rest are reserves); the higher your captain level, the more valkyries you're allowed to bring (up to 9), but once you start playing the mode, you can't change your valkyries (outside of the ones you choose) unless you "reset" the playthrough. The reserves are there in case your main valkyries die, and once all of them dies you'll have to reset.

* ImmuneToFlinching:
** Downplayed for the most part. Monsters with shield gauges are highly resistant to flinching, but some certain attacks and/or buffs of the valkyries may still be able to flinch them. Most valkyries that have a SuperMode as their ultimate skill will also have resistance (i.e not immunity) to flinching when it's active, and Himeko's {{Charged Attack}}s and some of her weapon skills would also make her resistant to flinching.
** Played straight with bosses, who won't flinch until their shield gauge is depleted; for bonus points, they tend to be stunned/dazed when their shield gauge is broken. Also with the rare "Iron Body" buff, which gives total immunity to flinching; a few monsters may briefly gain this buff during their attacks, while the "Titan Mecha" mook will gain the buff when it TurnsRed (after you deplete its health enough).

* ActionBomb: The MechaMook called Spider Mecha and its variants are robotic suicide bombers; they either do high damage when they go boom, or leave a patch of slow debuff on the ground on their wake. A stronger version of them can act as mines, too. Whenever HOLA appears as mooks, they also have "exploding near you" as a tactic.

* BackStab:
** Shadow Dash (Mei) and Black Nucleus (Bronya) have skills that increase their attacks' damage if they hit the enemy's backs.
** In Sakura Samsara game mode, with Stealth Mode activated, you can sneak behind the roaming enemies (including Rare Monsters) and do a powerful attack (with good timing) that deal massive damage to them. Most enemies die in one hit with it, while that may not always happen with the Rare Monsters as they have high HP (although the attack can deal CriticalHit that increases the damage immensely).

* CharacterLevel: each of the Valkyrie suits have their "levels", which can be increased by playing as them or by special EXP chips, the latter method being faster. Leveling up means increasing their stats, as well as increasing their "load point" so that they can equip more powerful weapons and Sitgmata.

Leveling up means increasing their stats, stats amd available skill levels, as well as increasing their "load point" so that they can equip more powerful weapons and Sitgmata.

* EasyLevelTrick: Urgent Missions in Sakura Samsara will pit you against a "boss monster" that has really high defenses; the fight is also a semi-TimedMission where, after 90 seconds have passed, they'll have increased stats, be ImmuneOFlinching and deal fire elemental damage just by being in your vicinity. There are tricks to defeating them quickly, however:
## The boss may appear next to a Rare Monster (keyword being "may"). The trick is to perform a Stealth Kill to the Rare Monster while the boss is in the vicinity so that they'll get hit by the high (collateral) damage. Higher adventure level boss may teleport somewhere else after their health is depleted by a certain percentage; if the new place has another Rare Monster in it, you can use the Stealth Kill method again.
## You can try acquiring "soul cannon" from one of the available tasks, which lets you launch highly damaging exploding fireballs. After you get the item, you can teleport out of the area where you get it and into where the boss is located; you can then use the soul cannon to hit the boss safely from afar, for huge damage. (The boss may teleport to another place, like the above.) Note that the stuff does elemental damage, and the level 30 boss is immune to them.

* MechaMooks: Robots appear as mooks starting from chapter 2. The Anti-Entropy apparently prefers building robots to do their dirty work, as they deem the whole Valkyrie business (i.e turning humans into disposable soldiers against the Honkai) as unethical; their robots, however, cannot handle as much Honkai Energy as human body would, making them weaker potentially. They're weak against Psychic-type Valkyries.
* NightOfTheLivingMooks: Zombies appear as enemies in the levels. [[OurZombiesAreDifferent They aren't your regular zombies, either]]: they move as normally as humans would (except for 2 of the kinds, which [[PowerFloats float in the air]] instead), they merely have pale and sometimes cracked skins, and they use their weapons well (again, except for 2 of the kinds, who use some magical powers). [[MonogenderMonsters They all seem to be female, too]].

* RankInflation: The story has at least acknowledged B, A and S rank Valkyries. You'll start your game with B-ranked ones (Kiana at the start is also a B-rank), then as you collect "fragments", you can either upgrade your existing Valkyrie suits' rank or get new A-rank or even S-rank suits. The inflation comes in the SS and SSS-rank Valkyries, which requires you to collect a boatload of Valkyrie fragments. The ranks here are used to upgrade the Valkyries' Leader Skills and unlock new sub-skills for them, making them more powerful and useful.

* ShootTheMageFirst:
** The "coffin zombie" mook (name varies) can [[MookMaker summon weaker zombie mooks from her coffin]] and has a potent WaveMotionGun attack. If she isn't beaten quickly, you'll have to deal with many minor zombies while she lasers you from far away.
** The "intangible zombie" mook (name varies) can [[IntangibleMan turn intangible]] to avoid your attacks (although they can't attack in that state), create a slowing AreaOfEffect on the ground, and buff other enemies in the area. A stronger version of them has potent [[AnIcePerson ice attacks]], while another can deploy "glowing AOE towers" that can either attack you in varying ways, or give her and/or other enemies a buff, or even [[MookMedic heal them]]. Defeating them (and the glowing towers) quickly will help you big time.
** the rare "shaman mecha" mook (name varies) can either give a high defense buff to other enemies, or trigger a Time Fracture of its own, slowing you down to a halt. You'll have a hard time beating the other enemies if you don't destroy that one first.

Added DiffLines:

* TimeLimitBoss: The Memorial Arena game mode pits you against a selection of 2 bosses each week; you have to beat them under 5 minutes to score points, the faster the better. (Points are still awarded even if you fail.) Each time they're defeated, they'll go up a rank, which will make them pull out more powerful attacks and have more powerful attributes if you fight them again; defeating higher rank bosses means getting more points. You may get prizes from getting certain number of points, and you and the other players will also get ranked with the points; you may win better prizes if you get higher in the ranks.
