* A conspiracy theory was suggested when Wrestling/VinceRusso arrived in Wrestling/{{WCW}} from Wrestling/{{WWF}} in October 1999, based on how, in his attempts to turn ''Wrestling/WCWMondayNitro'' into ''[[Wrestling/{{WWERaw}} Raw]]'', he managed to take a product that was already in terrible shape, thanks to roughly a year of Wrestling/KevinNash as head booker, and [[FromBadToWorse made it EVEN WORSE!]]. [[{{WMG/WWE}} Many believe]] Wrestling/HulkHogan (who famously [[FaceHeelTurn served as the "Third Man" for the Outsiders]] during Bash at the Beach 1996, shocking the wrestling world and kicking off the Wrestling/{{NWO}}) would later become a mole in [[Wrestling/ImpactWrestling TNA]].

* TNA's Wrestling/AcesAndEights was a whole angle about someone being the mole against TNA wrestling. It was Wrestling/DLoBrown, or so it seemed, [[MoleInCharge but it actually went much deeper than that]].

[[{{WMG/WWE}} Many believe]] Wrestling/HulkHogan would later become a mole in [[Wrestling/ImpactWrestling TNA]].
* Wrestling/RobVanDam was called a SellOut in Wrestling/{{ECW}} for wrestling on [[Wrestling/WWERaw Monday Night Raw]] while still under ECW contract, but it turned out that RVD was actually the mole for the ECW/WCW alliance to put the WWF out of business (said alliance ignored the fact ECW hated WCW ''more'' than the WWF, but no one called Invasion a great angle).
* Used and subverted in Wrestling/{{CHIKARA}}. One of the ''[[{{Face}} tecnicos]]'' had betrayed the others and gave ''[[{{Heel}} rudo]]'' Wrestling/{{UltraMantis Black}} the counter to Wrestling/MikeQuackenbush's feared submission finisher the CHIKARA Special to pass on to bigger ''rudo'' Wrestling/ChrisHero. [=UltraMantis=] also hypnotized tecnico Tim Donst into joining his stable the Order of the Neo-Solar Temple. Except, Donst was faking the amnesia, and while one of the rudos he discovered that the traitor of the tecnicos was [[spoiler:Wrestling/ShaneStorm]]. Donst told Quackenbush, who attacked [[spoiler:Storm]] before he could pull off a full fledged reveal and betrayal.
* Wrestling/DaizeeHaze was a ''long'' time ally of [[Wrestling/EvanBourne Matt Sydal]], so the idea of her being the mole of Generation Next to Wrestling/PrinceNana's Embassy was just a little unexpected.
* In Wrestling/{{WSU}}, Becky Bayless was a mole who pretended to hate Alicia's guts while secretly helping her win and retain the WSU Title.
* Wrestling/ClaudioCastagnoli was the mole against Wrestling/RingOfHonor for Wrestling/ChrisHero, who instigated the ROH Wrestling/{{CZW}} feud.
* When [[Wrestling/TheDudleyBoys Team 3D]] set out to destroy the X division of TNA, the HandWave for two men taking out an entire competitive division was that they had a mole inside it, who turned out to be Johnny Devine.
* Wrestling/TaylorWilde brought Wrestling/MadisonRayne into TNA to aid her against Wrestling/TheBeautifulPeople, which quickly backfired, as Rayne had been working for those very same Beautiful People. This happened to Wilde ''again'' when she worked with Rhaka Khan against The Kongtorage only to painfully learn Khan was one of their members.
* TNA's Wrestling/AcesAndEights was a whole angle about someone being the mole against TNA wrestling. It was Wrestling/DLoBrown, or so it seemed, [[MoleInCharge but it actually went much deeper than that]].
* When CHAOS invaded Wrestling/ProWrestlingNOAH in 2013, MAYBACH Taniguchi revealed he was the mole in No Mercy when he attacked Wrestling/{{KENTA|Kobayashi}} in favor of Takashi Iizuka and Wrestling/ToruYano.
* During the CHAOS Wrestling/BulletClub feud in Wrestling/NewJapanProWrestling, Yujiro Takahashi turned out to be the mole against the former for the latter, betraying Wrestling/KazuchikaOkada to Wrestling/PrinceDevitt.
* Amanda Rodriguez, the first woman Wrestling/IvelisseVelez recruited for Las Sicarias, was turned against the group by her EvilMentor Amber O'Neal by preying on Rodriguez's dislike of newere recruit Wrestling/TheaTrinidad. Rodriguez distracted Velez during a SHINE title match against [=LuFisto=] of the rival [=C4=] faction, but instead of being welcomed in [=LuFisto=] dumped Rodriguez ''and'' O'Neal for [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness no longer being of any use]] now that no Sicarias were singles contenders.
* After [[Wrestling/BrutusBeefcake the Zodiac (Brutus Beefcake)]] left the Wrestling/DungeonOfDoom in February 1996, he was repackaged as The Booty Man (sort of like [[Wrestling/BillyGunn Billy Gunn's "Mr. Ass" gimmick]]), now a {{Face}} and a Friend of Hogan. Hulk [[LampshadeHanging explained]] that he had sent him into the Dungeon as a "mole." However, [[FridgeBrilliance it actually DOES make sense]] when you consider the finish of the [[GimmickMatches War Games]] match between the Hulkamaniacs (Hogan/Savage/Sting/Luger) and the Dungeon of Doom (Kamala/Shark/Zodiac/Meng) at ''WCW Fall Brawl 95'', September 17, 1995. The Hulkamaniacs won when Hogan forced Zodiac to submit. Hulk ''had'' to have Zodiac be the one to submit, since he was the weakest guy on the team, (also because Wrestling/{{Kamala}} didn't speak, Wrestling/{{Meng}} was/is a legitimate badass [[WrestlingMonster Monster]] and [[Wrestling/JohnTenta the Shark]] was too big) and because it would have looked suspicious if Hulk had fought with the other three guys but left Zodiac alone. The two might have planned for Hogan to not actually apply any pressure when he locked on the submission (so as not to hurt his friend any more than he had to), but for Zodiac to submit anyway (to give his friend Hogan the win against the DOD team). Kind of like a less stupid version of the FingerpokeOfDoom.
* Toward the end of the much-despised [[Wrestling/TheInvasionAngle Alliance angle]] where Wrestling/{{WCW}} and Wrestling/{{ECW}} tried to put [[Wrestling/{{WWE}} the WWF]] out of business, Wrestling/KurtAngle, who had been a major figure in Team WWF, suddenly joined the Alliance out of nowhere. After Vince tried making the Alliance believe Wrestling/{{Stone Cold|Steve Austin}} was really a mole planted by him, it is revealed that it was Kurt Angle who was the actual mole, costing the Alliance their main event match, and ending the Alliance for good.
* Billy El Malo of [[PowerStable La Milicia]], which was in turn part of [[LegionOfDoom La Sociedad]] running amok over Wrestling/{{AAA}}, revealed in 2011 that two months after La Sociedad's founding he had been working in secret against the group from within on the behalf of Cibernético. He then officially left them for rival group Los Bizarros. Cibernético would later try to join La Sociedad as a mole himself [[ItOnlyWorksOnce but got beaten up]] by Los Perros Del Mal.
* While [[Wrestling/BlackRose La Rosa Negra]] is a bad guy, she only joined Strength In Numbers when they approached her in the Pro Wrestling Syndicate so she could set them up to catch a beat down from the Backseat Girlz, the biggest good guy group in the Bombshell's division who S.I.N. was planning to ambush. She did this because she believed Missy Sampson and Annie Social to be {{worthy opponent}}s.
* After spending the better part of 2013 getting screwed over by Wrestling/TheAuthority, [[Wrestling/BryanDanielson Daniel Bryan]] publicly gave up fighting a machine he could not beat on his own and joined Wrestling/TheWyattFamily for supposed help on the last show of that year. He actually did this to get closer to Wrestling/BrayWyatt, who had been giving him almost as much trouble as the Authority, taking revenge earlier than planned, in January 2014 after the Wyatts tried to pull a YouHaveFailedMe on him.
