* PaperThinDisguise: Played with in that [[OnlySaneMan Gourmand]] noticed something weird with the "mannequin" (who is actually Koki in disguise), but Koki still was able to remove the cuffs off of the brothers without getting caught, despite the weird movements and her afro being noticeable.

* SlippedTheRopes: After Koki was able to remove the brothers' cuffs, Chris whispered to her that they'll wait until morning so that they can make their move, and he and Martin make good on that when they pretend to be still tied up, then standing up with their now free arms to get ready to fight back and free the animals, much to the villains' surprise.

* OnlySaneMan: [[CordonBleughChef Gourmand]] gets the SanityBall (which was usually reserved for Paisley after her debut, and Donita before Paisley's debut) this time as he is the only one who notices something weird with the "mannequin" [[PaperThinDisguise (who in truth is Koki dressed as one)]]. He initially shrugs it off, but later his suspicions are confirmed after the brothers are free and ready to fight.

* ThePowerOfFriendship: Aviva comes to the rescue with her new invention, the Amphi-Trek XT, to fight off the villains and rescue the brothers, who were having a hard time trying to fight them off, and in turn, they return the favor to get the villains defeated when they notice Aviva is struggling.

* DefiantCaptive: After being splatted and kidnapped by the villains and taken to their camp, when we see the brothers again [[BoundAndGagged (now with red cuffs tying them instead of Gourmand's dough)]], Chris is noticeably much more defiant compared to Martin, who is just scared and doesn't seem to have an idea on what to say, at least at first, and even then, Martin still noticeably speaks less than Chris, who is the one who was able to aid Koki into removing their cuffs.

Wanted to fix a grammar mistake!

* DistressedDude: Both brothers wind up first splatted with Gourmand's dough, rendering them unable to move, and then kidnapped by him, Zach, and Donita. The next time we see them, [[BoundAndGagged they were tied with red cuffs]], and thus spent a good chunk of the second half as captives until Aviva arrives with her new invention. If we split the special into two parts, this is the episode where they spent the most time being captured by the villains.

* VillainRespect: Even ''Zach'' has to recognize how cool-looking Aviva's Amphitrek XT is, even if Paisley forces him to do a hard correction so he calls it "amazingly boring" instead.

----
* BigDamnHeroes: Just as Chris and Martin are cornered by the villains, Aviva emerges from the water and lands, showing off her newest invention: the Amphi-Trek XT.
* BoundAndGagged:
** Neither are gagged, but the brothers wind up with red cuffs when we next see them after they get kidnapped by Zach, Donita, and Gourmand. Koki eventually manages to find them and tries to free them without getting caught herself, but they feign being bound until the sun rises.
** None of them are gagged either, but Chris and Martin tie up the villains using orb weaver spider silk and ensnare them in a web of the former's own creation. The villains manage to break free seconds later, though, and make their escape.
* BroughtDownToNormal: Both Chris and Martin somehow end up forcefully deactivated by the villains, as when they're shown captured, they no longer have river otter powers.
* CardboardPrison: The GlassyPrison that the Amazon animals are kept in allows pretty much anyone to reach in and touch them -- up to and including the Kratt brothers, who are able to transform by touching a jaguar and an orb weaver spider even when they're trapped in cages.
* ContrivedCoincidence: Zach [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] the slim chance of meeting the Kratt brothers in the Amazon amidst all the biodiversity.
* CurbStompBattle:
** Chris and Martin effortlessly beat back the Zachbots and mannequins that are sent out with their respective orb weaver spider and jaguar powers. Unfortunately, their curb-stomping doesn't last long against Zach's Jaguar-Bot and Paisley's paving machine.
** Later on, Aviva delivers one to the villains, chewing up Gourmand's dough balls, reflecting the attacks of Donita's mannequins, and ensnaring and freeing Zach's Jaguar-Bot.
* DamselOutOfDistress: RareMaleExample. [[DistressedDude The brothers]] are kidnapped by the villains and spend a good chunk of the second half as captives, but when they notice Koki is on her way to remove their cuffs, Chris pretends to have an itchy back so that Donita can have her mannequin "scratch his back", not realizing Koki is disguised as one. End result? She successfully removes their cuffs and they fight back in the morning with their Creature Power Suits, although they aren't fully free until Aviva arrives with her new invention to aid them in fighting the villains off.
* DefiantCaptive: After being splatted and kidnapped by the villains and taken to their camp, when we see the brothers again [[BoundAndGagged (now with red cuffs tying them instead of Gourmand's dough)]], Chris is noticeably much more defiant compared to Martin, who is just scared and doesn't seem to have an idea on what to say.
--> '''Chris:''' No...! You won't get away with this!
* DressingAsTheEnemy: In order to rescue Chris and Martin, Koki turns off a mannequin's programming and uses it as a rather shoddy disguise. From there, Chris asks Donita if one of her mannequins can scratch his back, and she sends the mannequin Koki is disguised as to do so. This enables her to rescue them.
* FailedASpotCheck: The weight of Chris and Martin leaning over one side of the canoe causes water to rapidly fill it, something they initially fail to notice until a good amount of water is in it.
* FeedItWithFire: As the Amphi-Trek XT runs on bioelectric power via food waste, weapons like Gourmand's dough balls only serve to boost the machine's power.
* GoofyPrintUnderwear: When Zach lands on the ground after being swatted by the jaguar he's mind-controlling, it's shown that his pants have ripped open, exposing his heart-patterned boxer shorts.
* GoodNewsBadNews: Chris and Martin deliver the "Bad News, More News" variant to Aviva and Koki.
--> '''Chris:''' We have good news, and bad news.\\
'''Martin:''' Which do you want first?\\
'''Aviva:''' The bad news, I guess?\\
'''Chris:''' We kinda sunk our canoe.\\
'''Koki:''' ''What?!''\\
'''Martin:''' Yeah, but the good news is that you can make us a giant otter Power Suit instead! Haha, right?\\
'''Aviva:''' Well, the bad news for you is that I'm too busy working on this awesome new invention. Sorry!\\
'''Martin:''' Ohh...
* HappyEnding: The villains are defeated, the animals are freed, Aviva [[ShesBack gains her inspiration again,]] and Chris and Martin find the pink river dolphins they were looking for in Part 1 with Aviva's new Amphi-Trek XT.
* HomeFieldAdvantage: Chris tells the villains that they won't get away with what they're doing. Paisley wastes no time in reminding him and Martin that with her and the other villains' weapons -- her paving machines, Zach's Zachbots, and Donita's mannequins -- they are ''horribly'' outnumbered and stand no chance. Things soon turn in the brothers' favor, though, once Koki frees them.
* InconvenientItch: Invoked by Chris, who fakes having an itchy back in order to make Koki (disguised as a mannequin) come over to him to scratch it. It enables her to rescue him and Martin.
* InstantlyProvenWrong:
** Right in the middle of Zach's EvilGloating, the mind-control helmet he placed on the jaguar fails, and the animal sends the inventor flying with a mighty swat, enough to rip his pants.
** When Zach tells Donita that her mannequins don't stand a chance against his own robot technology, an armor plate attached to the jaguar's haunch falls off.
* MaliciousMisnaming: This episode gets a three-way misnaming between Zach, Gourmand, and Donita.
--> '''Zach:''' Ah, the Wild Ratts.\\
'''Gourmand:''' Green Grape and Blueberry.\\
'''Donita:''' Christo and Martino.
* NiceKitty: Martin has this reaction when he gets tackled by Zach's Jaguar-Bot, even though it's clear that he has [[VehicularAssault bigger threat to deal with.]]
* NoseNuggets: One of the baby river otters sprays Martin with snot, in a direct hit to the face. This is what spurs him to name her Snorty. It's eventually revealed that giant river otters spray snot if they are curious or alarmed.
-->'''Gourmand:''' I knew there was something wrong with that mannequin!
* PlayfulOtter: At the beginning of the episode, Chris and Martin run into a pack of giant river otters, who are very friendly.
* PreviouslyOn: As the second part of a two-parter, it winds up naturally being this, complete with a recap, but since the first part aired on the same day, it ends up becoming ToBeContinuedRightNow.
* RedemptionRejection: After Aviva frees the jaguar Zach used to make his Jaguar-Bot, she attempts to appeal to him by stating that he doesn't have to use animals as {{Power Source}}s and can instead have nature inspire his inventions. Since StatusQuoIsGod, Zach doesn't take the advice to heart.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Jimmy is quick to make his retreat when Aviva begins testing a feature similar to an anaconda using a metal hose. He doesn't get very far, though, and Aviva eventually picks up her crash test dummy.
* ShockAndAwe: Aviva creates an electric force field around her Amphi-Trek XT, nullifying the attacks of Donita's mannequins and reflecting their attacks right back at them.
* SinkingShipScenario: Chris and Martin end up accidentally sinking their canoe when the combined weight of them leaning over one side to view some giant river otters causes water to begin filling it. Luckily, they soon get river otter powers to compensate.
* SupremeChef: Gourmand is this by default, but special mention goes to him wishing to make an Amazon feast with ''34,251'' courses.
* TemptingFate: The villains frequently recite that the Kratt brothers "can't stop us!". But of course, StatusQuoIsGod, and so they do manage to get stopped by the end of the episode.
* ThreateningShark: The brothers swim away from a bull shark after they mistake it for a pink river dolphin. The river otters they befriend help to fight the shark off.
* VillainExitStageLeft: The web Chris creates to trap the villains doesn't hold them for long, and all four of them hop away while declaring their revenge.
* VillainRespect: Even ''Zach'' has to recognize how cool-looking Aviva's Amphitrek XT is, even if Paisley forces him to do a hard correction so he calls it "amazingly boring" instead.
