Off Model example shoehorned to Unreliable Illustrator due to the former becoming definition-only (as far as I can tell, most of these animation errors are not directly contradicting the script). Off Model was made definition-only partially due to the complainy use of the trope, which is still present with this example, no matter what trope you bill it under.

* UnreliableIllustrator: As is expected of the series, all three parts have this with the usual set of coloring errors and misshapen characters.
** The tidal wave threatening Earth never has a consistent size across the later two parts.
** The scene in which Wheeljack uses his anti-hypno chip device on Sparkplug, Bumblebee is represented by a yellow-colored Cliffjumper.
** In the same episode, the lower part of Brawn's legs are missing when the steal beam he charges with gets melted by Shockwave. A similar error occurs on Wheeljack's forearm when he inserts the disk containing the Hypno-Chip information into his workshop computer.
** One introduced in the Rhino prints of Part 3 involves a cutout of Mirage being poorly pasted over the footage of Megatron's space cruiser, as the original filmed print they used lacked this element. The kicker? They took Mirage's frame from a print noticeably worse than the film print.
** To further this, none of the parts were done by the same team. Part 1's animation is unusually flatter than normal in many shots and characters often wind up with DullSurprise on their faces on top of the animation itself being of low quality even for the series. Compounding matters is a shot from "Transport to Oblivion" being reused for the scene where Megatron contacts Shockwave, which is again, done in a different style, and now has Megatron's cel layer wobble at the end. Part 2 is done in the usual Toei style and while not error-free, has considerably fewer issues compared to the surrounding parts. Part 3 utilizes Creator/AshiProductions and Creator/NakamuraProductions as "More Than Meets the Eye Part 3", "Roll For It" and "S.O.S. Dinobots" did, resulting in scenes and shots that suddenly change style completely from one more in line with the show's regular style, some more {{Animesque}} styles, and scenes with varying amounts of ThickLineAnimation and distorted faces.
