* MundaneUtility: Caitlin uses her freezing powers to close Cisco's wounds.

* DidntThinkThisThrough: Cisco wangts that his powers will ruin his life and he wants to be normal. Apparently he's never thought of just not being a hero. It's not as if (other than the occasional vibe) his powers are active all the time and affect his day-to-day life.

* AbsenteeActor: Joe is said to be visiting Wally with baby Jenna while Ralph is claimed to be visiting his mother.

* AdultFear: Joe's absence is at least justified after Cicada invaded his home with his newborn daughter.

* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Subverted, Nora fully excepts this when she asks Barry if she thinks even somebody like Thawne can change. But much to her surprise, he actually says yes.

* UnexplainedRecovery: As per usual, it's not made clear exactly how Thawne is alive, and it's also unclear how he ended up in Iron Height, as well as why he still has the face of Harrison Wells.

* VillainsDyingGrace: Thawne claims this is why he's helping Nora - he's at the end of his timeline and wants his legacy to be more than just selfishness. Of course, coming from [[ItsAllAboutMe Thawne]], this claim is dubious at best.

Nora has to grapple with the fallout of learning the full truth of Thawne's villainous legacy. Sherloque continues to investigate Nora behind everyone's back. Meanwhile the Weather Witch has been freed by a new criminal Silver Ghost, who is seeking to form a new gang -- the Young Rogues.

* ArmorPiercingQuestion: {{Subverted}}, Nora fully excepts this when she asks Barry if she thinks even somebody like Thawne can change. But much to her surprise, he actually says yes.

* ForgottenFallenFriend: {{Averted}} with Leonard Snart, who is brought up by Barry as a shining example towards Nora for a initially unrepetant criminal who got reformed.
* FreudianExcuse: Silver Ghost used to be an Air Force pilot, but a mission she was on went south and she was wrongfully given a dishonorable discharge because the military wanted a {{Scapegoat}}.

* HeelFaceDoorSlam: Nora's refusal to believe in Joslyn's sincerity to reform helps push her into Silver Ghost's clutches. However, even then Nora is able to reach out to her, which causes Joslyn to save her life, making it a possible {{subversion}}.

* InnocentlyInsensitive: Cisco is ecstatic about the possibility of removing meta-human powers, ignoring that not everyone with powers like Caitlin and Barry wants them gone.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: Afters spending years escaping his deserved fate at the last minute, justice has finally caught up to Eobard Thawne. He's imprisoned within Iron Heights, and he literally has only less than a hour to live.

* ReformedCriminal: What Thawne claims to be Nora, telling her he wants to atone for his wicked deeds -- she doesn't buy it. But by the end of the episode, she's beginning to change her mind.

* UnexplainedRecovery: It's not made clear exactly how Thawne is alive, nor how he ended up in Iron Heights.

* CallBack: Nora makes a little quip about the ''Elseworlds'' crossover when she brings Barry's blue suit, saying she's sure Barry was tired of wearing green.

* ArtisticLicenseLaw: Even if Joe is friends with a high ranking military officer, there's no way the Pentagon would allow personal files to be handed over to civilians -- especially one that proves a blatant case of corruption.

* VillainsDyingGrace: Thawne claims this is why he's helping Nora - he's at the end of his timeline and wants his legacy to be more than just SelfishEvil. Of course, coming from [[ItsAllAboutMe Thawne]], this claim is dubious at best.

* ThirdLineSomeWaiting: The A plot is about Nora going up against Joss and Raya after Barry is decomissioned. The B plot is about Cisco developing a cure for metahumans, with Caitlin arguing against it. The C plot is about Sherloque trying to decipher Barry's mysterious code words.

* VillainsDyingGrace: Thawne claims this is why he's helping Nora.
