* BaitAndSwitch: Gumball's story about the origin of the stakeboard starts out with a British street urchin fleeing from some high class gentlemen, finding a board and wheels when he's cornered. It looks like he's about to come with the idea for the skateboard and use it to get away, except the gentlemen reach him and start beating him. One of the gentlemen ends up creating the stakeboard instead.

** Richard claims to have been using Gumball's skateboard to skate. This comes right after a montage showing Richard misusing the board in various ways (filing his nails, chopping carrots, and so he can bypass public indecency laws by wearing something to cover his crotch that isn't pants).

** A lot of Gumball's skateboard stunts (on the part where he tries to rescue Darwin) had to be changed when the show was being animated, as the Cartoon Network UK censors were worried about dangerous imitable behavior.
** On Cartoon Network's Asia channel, the part where Richard looks down the barrel of the nailgun before nearly pulling the trigger was cut.
** On Cartoon Network's Latin American channel, the part where Darwin literally opens himself up by splitting himself in two was cut.
** Cartoon Network's Middle East/North Africa channel cut the part where Richard goes grocery shopping [[HandOrObjectUnderwear with the skateboard covering his crotch]] and getting busted by the hand security guard.
** On the Russian and Bulgarian dubs of this episode, Darwin splitting himself in two was cut (as it was in Latin America) and the part showing how skateboarding was invented was cut to remove the Cockney orphan saying "Criminy" as he's running from the law. The "Criminy" cut was also done when this episode aired in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Portugal.
