Felix is in an old western ghost town with his Magic Bag of Tricks, with Professor watching him with his Felix Finder. He gets one of his usual disguises ready, this time becoming a cowboy and riding on a toy horse attached to a rocket, flying off to the town. Back at the town, Felix sees a sign pointing to a gold mine tunnel, and Felix goes inside, failing to realize its actually a giant gun that Professor is using. Felix misses a shot by hiding in one of the barrels, and he grabs his Magic Bag and runs off. Felix runs through the town as Professor constantly shoots him. Felix hides in a corner, and then meets a lady who is nervous about the shooting--who is actually Professor in another disguise, who reaches out from under the skirt to grab the bag while Felix is distracted comforting "her". Felix sees her off, but notices the bag is gone and chases after her. Professor kicks a boulder down the mountain he climbs up, but Felix is only briefly flattened by it and continues the chase. Felix reaches the summit and sees Professor parachuting down while holding on the lady disguise. Felix lunges at him, grabbing the bag and turning it into a paper plane, and leaving Professor to fall in the mud below. Just then, a tornado appears and sweeps up Felix in it,

As Felix signs, the ghost reveals himself to be Professor again, who swaps the Magic Bag for a fake one, and leads Felix to a room. Professor locks Felix inside of it, and when Felix tries to use the fake bag, a sucker sign pops out. Felix looks out the window and realizes he can't escape, since the hotel is suspended over a cliffside, with a very rocky bottom below. Professor takes the Magic Bag back to his lab and plans to use it--only for the bag to open up and unleash the tornado it had inside of it, sending Professor and the bag whirling back to the ghost town and falling into a chimney, which leads him into the room Felix is trapped in. Felix turns the bag into a rocket, and he and Professor take off in it. Felix drops off Professor in his lab, who immediately starts using a machine to spank himself in frustration, and Felix flies off as the cartoon irises out.
