* RidiculousRepossession: After Brian goes crazy with his spending and unable to pay it back, Amazon's collectors come to repo his items. As they also take Brandee, a purchase Brian notes was by Peter and not him, the guy taking her away tells Brian he's been looking for one of the devices for himself.

* WorstNewsJudgementEver: When Peter first shows off Brandee to the family, he asks for it to tell her the top news story, which is apparently, "Music/{{Prince}} bred purple dolphins". In response, Stewie immediately asks, "Wasn't there a senator shot today?"

* TakeThat: The review for Film/TheHangover part 3 says: "I walked out of the theater, and I'm Ed Helms."

* BorrowedCatchphrase: Bruce and the Kool-Aid Man say the other's catchphrases ("Oh noooo!" "Oh yeah!"). Justified because they've switched bodies.
** Same goes for several other characters.
* BrickJoke: When Brian switches bodies with Stewie, the latter ends up licking Brian’s crotch like a regular dog and says to him “What the hell have you been complaining about?” Later, when Chris switches bodies with Brian, he also licks his codpiece and asks the same question.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Brian buys a whole bunch of stuff that was suggested by Peter’s new virtual assistant Brandee. However, his credit card was maxed out when buying these items, so a collection agency comes to repossess them.
** When Stewie tries to teach a class poetry while in Brian’s body and encourages the students to rip the introduction page out, they question this by asking if the other prefacing pages should be torn out too, leading to an annoyed Stewie having an argument with the students, and he is soon branded a laughingstock for his ineptitude. And not knowing what a frontispiece is.

** When Jerome switches bodies with Ida Quagmire, he wonders if he’s "doing a [[Creator/TylerPerry Madea]].

** A sex-crazed Lois references the famous [["HeresJohnnyHomage Here’s Johnny!" scene]] from ''Film/TheShining'' when she uses an iron to burst through the bathroom door to get to Stewie (who was in Peter’s body).

When Brian asks how, Stewie reminds him that he's an atheist and tells him to offend God. Stewie attempts to get Brian's life on track by swapping bodies with him. But the machine soon causes havoc around town.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Quagmire was going to shove a Gerbil up his ass, but when he switches bodies with the a Gerbil, Quagmire gets the short end of the stick.
