* EvenEvilHasStandards: While she doesn't do anything about it, Cornelia is still horrified by the horrors Airachnid's inflicted upon the Elevens.

* ParentalSubstitute: It's revealed that Lelouch has come to see Optimus as a father.

* BigDamnHeroes: When Mao was about to kill Shirley, Rai utilizes his Geass (which unlike Lelouch's, works based upon ''hearing alone'', instead of both sight and sound) for the first time, causing Mao to drop his gun. Then Bumblebee manages to backhand Mao away, breaking the mind reader's right arm and most of his ribs in the process.

* ForTheEvulz: Airachnid is a ''lot'' more menacing than in ''Prime'', as she butchers ''dozens'' of Japanese civilians in Shinjuku, ''because she was bored'', much to Suzaku's outrage.

* VillainExitStageLeft: Mao only has a brief chance to see C.C. before Bumblebee's Energon barrage sends him packing.

* TheReveal: Shirley is told everything about Lelouch and Nunnally's identities as former royalty, Lelouch and Rai's reasons for fighting, and their involvement in the Black Knights and the Autobots. At the end of the chapter, she has the honor of meeting the Autobots for the first time - especially Optimus Prime.

* NoMoreLies: Lelouch vows to tell Shirley and Nunnally the truth - which he does after Shirley was rescued from Mao.
