Top it with the fact that Bu-ling herself is only an elementary school student, and prior to the series beginning, she apparently supported her family entirely by [[StreetPerformer doing tricks in a park]]. It must be even more exhausting since she's a waitress at a cafe and a superhero fighting aliens.

** Seto Kaiba of ''Anime/YuGiOh'', who promised himself when he was ten that he would be a father to his brother, Mokuba, after their parents died. Aside from his NobleDemon personality and AgentScully views, Seto has been good to his word. Mokuba uses the highest, most respectful honorific toward him, "Nii-sama." The manga has them both be evil at first, with Mokuba trying to emulate his brother before both reform.

* ''Anime/{{Daltanious}}'' takes place in 1995, after an AlienInvasion has wiped out large chunks of humanity. 15 year old Kento Tate is amongst many orphans, and after finding fellow children orphaned from the attack, he decides to take them under his wing so they can survive together. His group of RagtagBunchOfMisfits expands to include TeamMom Sanae and EveryonesLittleSister Ochame later on, and they all come to help him as he pilots the titular SuperRobot.

* ''Anime/VoltesV'': As a boy Kenichi Go was mischevious and playful, but after the disappearance of his dad (related to his DarkAndTroubledPast), he stepped up tp help his mother raise his siblings Daijiro and Hiyoshi. In the present day, even though they've aged beyond needing his care, they still look up to him as the TeamDad and ask him for advice.

* Black of ''Manga/{{Tekkonkinkreet}}'' takes care of the playful but [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} peculiar]] White much like a parent; he steals money to support them both and even helps White dress. (He doesn't know how to do so by himself yet.) Although it's never explicitly stated that they're related, the two are [[BloodBrothers so close that they might as well be siblings]].
