Unfortunately, he began to resent his younger cousin as his mother became furious that her son was "losing" to him and began pushing Yakumo harder. Takane developing an cold, stoic personality to protect himself from his family added to his resentment; as he viewed the attitude as Takane just continuously leeching support from him without ever giving back.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Hana's hair is pink, a trait she and Yukari inherited from their mother. Mizuki's hair is also blue.
