They also made Series/VRTroopers, although their source footage was adaptation Series/Beetleborgs is about a team of warriors wearing beetle themed PowerArmor.
* Series/TheMysticKnightsOfTirNaNog is a fantasy take on the genre, as the series is about a color-coded team of four knights who defend their kingdom of Kells against evil monsters send by the rival kingdom of Temra.
* Series/VRTroopers can be considred a Sentai show, being about
three earlier heroes fighting against a virtual warlord. However, VR Troopers is actually an adaptation of three separate Series/MetalHeroes shows, and those shows don't qualify for this trope as where the hero does most of their battles solo. Therefore, you'll never see the entire team fighting against a single monster.
* Parodied in Series/KamenRiderRyuki with the Agito vs Ryuki special. The regular Ryuki series is about twelve Kamen Riders who fight each other to the death in an ThereCanOnlyBeOne tournament. Most of these riders range from AntiHero to outright villain. In the special, the Riders act more like a traditional Sentai, constantly uttering how

Despite the numerical theme naming, the Gundam Pilots from Gundam Wing are definately not a Sentai. They do not operate as a team, aren't color coded and they most certainly don't pose as a group.

** In some regard, the five boys from Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing could be considered a Sentai, as well, inspired by the Shuffle Alliance. The only difference is that they're antiheroes who tried to kill each other because none of them were told about their other four's existences to keep their mission a secret, and together waged a five-man rebellion against a corrupt government and military organization. They were even named after numbers to hammer in that Sentai-style setup, for example:
*** Heero "Yui" = Lone, or one.
*** "Duo" Maxwell = Two.
*** "Trowa" Barton = Three.
*** "Quatre" Raberba Winner = Four.
*** Chang "Wu"fei = Five.

* Literature/SolarDefendersTheRoleOfAShield takes a serious look at Sentai tropes, particularly of the Franchise/PowerRangers variety, exploring what would realistically happen if the responsibility for fighting an endless war against monsters was placed on the shoulders of actual high school students.

* Manga/MahouSenseiNegima: In an obvious parody of Franchise/SuperSentai/Franchise/PowerRangers, the five girls from Negi's class with the lowest grades dub themselves the "Baka Rangers," complete with appropriate "hero names," like "Baka Red" and "Baka Pink". For clarification: Red = Asuna, Blue = Kaede, Yellow = Fei, Black = Yue, Pink = Makie. During the festival story arc in the manga, there is the "Maho(ra) Rangers" performing on a stage.

* Spoofed in Anime/MaiHime, where Midori (the one who JumpedAtTheCall, thinking she's Franchise/SailorMoon) proposes teaming up into the "[=HiME=] Rangers" to fight the monsters of the week more effectively. The two [=HiMEs=] who dismiss the idea as ridiculous () are tied up and dragged to the meeting place anyway.

* Manga/TheRedRangerBecomesAnAdventurerInAnotherWorld is exactly what it says on the tin, an isekai about a HotBlooded Red Ranger who ends up trapped in a fantasy world after the final climactic battle with the Rangers' enemies, and uses his Ranger powers to become an adventurer while he looks for a way home - much to the confusion of the otherworld's residents, who have absolutely no context for sentai heroes or their powers.
