One theory behind this phenomenon in comics that American superheroes are drawn in a "larger than life" artstyle. Heroes are supposed to look dynamic and impressive, villains look evil and shady, and thus women are sometimes drawn to accentuate any womanly features far more heavily than a realistic style would. (And yes, to the extent this is true, there is a DoubleStandard at work here that males aren't depicted as super-manly men nearly as frequently.

A lot of the professionals, and even some of the students despite their young age are already developing quite nicely, showcased quite nicely thanks to skintight uniforms being the norm for heroes and heroes-in-training. Of particular note in Class 1-A is Momo Yayorozu, which may be related to her lipid-based quirk of Creation.

Per TRS, Big Bra To Fill is being merged with this trope, and the sentence I added was suggested in the linked thread.

This most common of metahuman attributes seems to range from a D-cup size upward for any character just past the onset of puberty (a time [[PubertySuperpower when many comic-book characters start to manifest superpowers]]). They are not only large, but remarkably self-supporting and perky for their size.

size. Naturally, this means that women in live-action adaptations won't have the same figures as the source material.

(And yes, to the extent this is true, there is a DoubleStandard at work here that males aren't depicted as super-manly men nearly as frequently.)

{{Live Action Adaptation}}s inevitably lead to a BigBraToFill.

** Her big bust became so iconic that the casting of Creator/GalGadot in the Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse drew some flack from people who thought she had a BigBraToFill even though her bust size is much closer to her original comicbook appearance as well as the classical Greek ideal that she's supposed to resemble. Gadot took it in good humour and even brought it up in a few interviews, most famously when she [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA8pQMJrcNY asked Jimmy Kimmel what he thought of her breasts]]. Interestingly, her ComicBook/DCRebirth appearance [[https://comicnewbies.files.wordpress.com/2016/12/wonder-woman-tests-her-powers-rebirth-1.jpg seems to be averting this trope]] [[ComicBookFantasyCasting to more closely resemble Gadot's body type]].

non-western comic heroines.

* In ''VideoGame/AgeOfMythology'', Atalanta's breasts appear surprisingly prominent given her athletic inclinations. Forget SuperSpeed, her true power must be preventing those things from slapping her in the face.
* ''VideoGame/DragonQuestIV'': Averted for the heroine, if the catty comments of a woman in a bathhouse are to be trusted. Though the artwork indicates hers aren't that smaller than Maya's, so take that as you will.

Not a western style comic heroine.

* Lisa almost ended up having ACupAngst in ''Literature/LoneHuntress'' after surreptitiously obtaining hormones to emulate her adoptive father while in adolescence. Attempts to correct her development ended up becoming more of an overcorrection; it's more of an additional source of AppearanceAngst than anything.

* In ''Webcomic/TheMagnificentMilkmaid'', ChocolateMilkmaid and the villainesses they fight. The Milkmaids' powers are that their breasts expand from about D cups to closer to triple-K cups when they drink milk, and they can use their jugs as weapons.
