* ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'': Ren is quiet, thoughtful and prone to expressing his wit in deadpan and sarcastic ways, such as when he's asked to distract the sniper during the tournament, despite being the one with no shield, and his response is an understated "Sure, why not". His life-long partner, Nora, is expressive, energetic and loud. During the same tournament fight, when Jaune asks her to finish the fight with a single hit, she grins broadly, leaps in the air with her power needlessly flaring everywhere just for effect, and hits all four opponents with an exaggerated hammer swing. When Nora is telling Yang a story about her dream, she exaggerates the adventure for mood and suspense, while Ren quietly interjects with the actual, more boring, facts of the dream, deadpanning her enthusiasm.

These are ZCE. Team RWBY is shoehorned (on the character pages the pairs are Ruby and Yang and Weiss and Blake, while here it's Ruby and Weiss and Yang and Blake, which is a big sign of shoehorning). Yang and Blake are the parent trope (Red Oni Blue Oni) but not for ham/deadpan reasons, so their entry can stay there. Ruby and Weiss are the Technician Versus Performance foil trope. Both of them are capable of being deadpan and ham, so there is no ham/deadpan split between them. Ren and Nora are Savvy Guy Energetic Girl, but they do have a ham/deadpan relationship, so I'm expanding that example.

* ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}''. Ren the deadpan has a childhood friend Nora, the hammy GenkiGirl. On a lesser level the title team has two pairings, the enthusiastic Ruby with the IceQueen Weiss, and the aloof and broody Blake with the BoisterousBruiser Yang.
