Those it enslaves become hawk-headed creatures who do its bidding. The Eye battled the former wielder of the Blue Beetle Scarab and thus was imprisoned for millennia to come. In the 20th century, Dan Garrett the first Blue Beetle encountered this weapon and defeated it by speaking its true name in vowels - ''The Eye of Ra''.
** Creator/DCComics: The Eye returned when it was excavated from an ancient pyramid by Helen Rock, the reincarnation of ComicBook/{{Hawkman}}'s eternal enemy Hath-Set, and was used against ComicBook/InfinityInc
* ''ComicBook/DoctorFate'': With it's roots in Myth/EgyptianMythology it naturally appears.

** Can sometimes be seen inside the Tower of Fate.

* Subverted in ''ComicBook/{{PS238}}'': [[TheCowl The Revenant]] uses a stylised and reversed Eye of Horus ([[BroughtToYouByTheLetterS making it resemble an 'R']]) as his logo, but it's eventually revealed it has nothing to do with ancient Egypt and everything to do with him being a fan of ''Music/TheAlanParsonsProject''.

The ''Eye of Horus'' is a symbol from AncientEgypt. In AncientEgypt it served as a symbol for good health, protection, sacrifice and royal power. The symbol is also associated and can be seen with numerous gods, in particular [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus Horus]]; the TropeNamer, [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wadjet Wadjet]][[note]]Also, doubles as another name for the ''Eye Of Horus''.[[/note]] and [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ra Ra]]. It's also sometimes called the ''Eye Of Ra''[[note]]Technically only the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_Ra#Aggressive_and_protective left eye represents Ra while the right represents Horus]], but due to their vast amount of similarities they are often [[SadlyMythtaken mistaken for eachother]].[[/note]]; even though the ''Sun Disk'' was just as likely to be used to represent Ra's "Eye" in AncientEgypt, and has been used as a title for [[DependingOnTheWriter various goddesses]] who worked with Ra in some fashion. Aside from the [[TheChurch temples]] of the before mentioned gods it was also commonly found on the bow of ships and as funerary amulets for [[{{Mummy}} mummies]] in an attempt to protect them. It also may have been the inspiration for the ''[[https://www.thoughtco.com/eye-of-horus-ancient-egyptian-symbol-96013 Eye Of Providence]]'' and the ''[[http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2014/06/rx-mean-come/ RX symbol]]'', but there's little evidence to support this.
