* The Plutonian from ''ComicBook/{{Irredeemable}}'' changes his costume after his FaceHeelTurn from a white suit with a red cape to a red suit with no cape.

* Looker, from ''ComicBook/BatmanAndTheOutsiders'', was known, among other things, for having [[http://www.comicbookreligion.com/char?ID=67&Looker_Lia_Briggs a spectacularly ugly costume]]. When she became a vampire, that pink, black, white, and powder blue eyesore was mercifully dropped, and she now wears a surprisingly more sensible black BadassLongcoat in most continuities.

** In the original anime, Listy gets this in a big way when she is [[BrainwashedAndCrazy brainwashed by Aldra.]] She goes from a revealing but still rough-around-the-edges brown leather outfit with a tousled hairdo to a silky black jumpsuit sporting AbsoluteCleavage and slick, straightened hair worn long. Aldra herself goes through this [[HeelFaceTurn in reverse]] between the first series and rebellion, going from an outfit that's all intimidating sharp edges to the garb of a housewife.

* In the third issue of ''ComicBook/FreddyVsJasonVsAsh: The Nightmare Warriors'', it's revealed Maggie from ''Film/FreddysDeadTheFinalNightmare'' is either BrainwashedAndCrazy or simply TheMole (her FaceHeelTurn has yet to be adequately explained). After revealing her [[BeneathTheMask true colors]], she [[GoodHairEvilHair lets her hair down]], [[TheGlassesComeOff loses the glasses]], and trades in her power suit for [[{{stripperiffic}} a tight, black, biker-esque leather outfit]] that's pretty much the definition of AbsoluteCleavage. Also, she gets [[DualWielding twin gloves]] like her father's, though they have fingers tipped with razor blades instead of knives.

** Although she was already pretty unpleasant to start with, to celebrate by far her most vile acts of [[spoiler: blowing up the Sept of Baelor along with hundreds, if not thousands, of people to destroy her enemies the Sparrows and the Tyrells and usurp the throne,]] Cersei Lannister trades in her red and gold flared-sleeved gowns for some [[EvilWearsBlack black leather]] dresses with silver chains and shoulder armour accessories. Interestingly it's also a reversal of the usual costume switch in some ways because her previous outfits leant towards being elaborate with AbsoluteCleavage but her new ones are modestly high collared and minimalist by comparison, probably because they're [[RuleOfSymbolism designed to resemble]] her [[spoiler: late]] father's clothes.

* ''VideoGame/LufiaCurseOfTheSinistrals'': when [[spoiler:Iris,]] a modest dressing priestess in white, transforms into the Sinistrals of Death, Erim, she suddenly wears a black dress sporting AbsoluteCleavage.

* Generator can't resist playing with this trope in the ''Literature/WhateleyUniverse'' every time she gets to play a supervillain in the holographic simulations. The first time, in Team Tactics class, she goes for the DragonLady look with a cheongsam. In "Ayla and the Mad Scientist" when she is asked to play 'the team member who has gone Dark Phoenix' in the holographic simulation, she goes with glowing black eyes, [[KirbyDots Kirby Crackle]], and a black and purple minidress with AbsoluteCleavage.

The list of people ''without'' a Red Life skin[[note]]Etho, Grian, Impulse, Lizzie, Mumbo, Tango[[/note]] is smaller than the people with them[[note]]Bdubs, Big B, Scar, Martyn, Pearl, Ren, Scott, Skizz, Joel, Jimmy, Cleo[[/note]].

* ''LetsPlay/LifeSMP'': A good number of players {{invoke|dTrope}} this by having a separate skin for when they get knocked down to one life left, where they become {{Omnicidal Maniac}}s whose main goal is to kill everyone else on the server. These Minecraft skins are often RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver (crossing over with RedIsViolent), with [[UndeathlyPallor grey skin]] and {{red eyes|TakeWarning}}. However, there's a small minority of players who don't do this, making it a ZigZaggingTrope for the series overall.

** During the DorkAge, when the Fantastic Four were made to be DarkerAndEdgier, she wore a {{stripperiffic}} costume complete with a [[BareYourMidriff bare midriff]] and a CleavageWindow shaped like a 4 as a way to show how much grittier she had become. This was given a swift RetCon, explaining that it was the evil Malice personality trying to come back via her subconscious. Thankfully, she went back to a more modest look.

** ComicBook/PostCrisis Supergirl, Kara Zor-El, did this twice.

*** The second time was when she was hit with black kryptonite in ''[[ComicBook/Supergirl2005 Supergirl Volume 5]]'' #3, causing an evil duplicate to suddenly emerge from her body... already wearing a black version of her normal costume. Apparently, evil kryptonite clones have black clothing as part of their very nature. This trope was also lampshaded an issue later, when evil Supergirl switched her costume with the original's at superspeed, in an attempt to fool Batman and Superman as to who was the evil clone. The black costume returned in a later ''ComicBook/JusticeLeagueOfAmerica'' storyline where a battle with the Omega Man accidentally reawakened the Dark Supergirl persona within her.

** This was based on a [[UsefulNotes/TheSilverAgeOfComicBooks Silver Age]] story in which Supergirl was exposed to a piece of ''red'' kryptonite that created [[http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Satan_Girl_(Pre-Zero_Hour) Satan Girl]], who likewise wore a black outfit. Her version had a cowl and no S-symbol because her identity was originally a mystery.

* Played straight in ''WebVideo/DrHorriblesSingAlongBlog''. [[spoiler:After joining the Evil League of Evil, Billy switches from his white outfit to a red one, with black gloves.]]

** Played straight with [[spoiler:Mako: she normally wears a white and blue SailorFuku, but during episode 7, she changes to a black and red BadassLongcoat, NiceHat, and geta sandals when she becomes the Fight Club President (though she still wears her SailorFuku)]]. It doesn't last long, though.

* Wrestling/SethRollins: For the large part, [[AvertedTrope averted]]. Apart from a couple [[Wrestling/TheAuthority Authority]]-esque [[CorruptCorporateExecutive suits]] he has come down to the ring in, Seth continues wearing his Shield uniform (sometimes complete with the Shield patch!) even weeks after defecting. They could just as easily have him wear his old trunks or UnderwearOfPower, raising suspicions that ''someone'' is a {{troll}}. Eventually started to play this straight, wearing leather tights that look like they could fit on an ''Franchise/XMen'' villain.

* Jafar from ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}'', during his VillainSong near the end, when he's tossing Aladdin around and becoming an all-powerful sorcerer/genie. In that one song, he changes his costume style about three times in less than two minutes. In this case, his evil costume [[UpToEleven becomes even more evil]]. Interestingly, his powerful wizard form is wearing his old outfit, so he switches outfits to power up (becomes sultan) and then switches outfits back to power up again. The only difference in the costumes is that the hat and shoulders are [[SpikesOfDoom more pointy]] and his snake-staff's mouth is open, representing that his magic is now aggressive like a snake's bite, as opposed to passive, like a snake's hypnotic eyes. Then, he becomes a genie and ''really'' changes clothes.

** [[spoiler: After Shinnok's defeat at the end of ''MKX'', Liu Kang and Kitana become the new rulers of the Netherrealm; both of them sport [[UpToEleven eviler costumes]] than what they had before.]]

* [[IncorruptiblePurePureness Sarah]], in ''Webcomic/ThePrincess'', has a bad day and turns up dressed [[http://the-princess.funonthe.net/comics/239/ "..like Eeyore barfed on Alice in Wonderland!"]] Her best friend snaps her out of it immediately.

* The Wii version of ''VideoGame/PunchOut'' takes this trope UpToEleven in Title Defense Mode. It takes ''every single opponent in the entire game,'' gives them all a badass makeover (with a few exceptions; Glass Joe will never, ever, EVER look badass), and makes them all [[NintendoHard horribly, HORRIBLY harder than they are normally]]. Some of the makeovers have practical purposes, namely, Glass Joe's headgear and King Hippo's...uh...manhole cover, but for the most part, they just make them look different and distinguishable from their weak counterparts, not to mention DarkerAndEdgier.
* In ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'', when [[spoiler:Riku opens his heart to the darkness, his]] usual clothes are transformed into a shirt that looks like it's made of black and red muscle tissue with a Heartless emblem on the chest and what looks like a hula skirt.

*** In ''VideoGame/KingdomHearts3DDreamDropDistance'', [[spoiler: Sora is an unwitting and downplayed case of this. While at no point does he willingly turn evil, unlike the now-fully-redeemed Riku, who's associated with light yellow and sky blue, Sora's new clothes are primarily black, red, and magenta. Most importantly, the X on his Sleeping Worlds clothes, the Recusant's Sigil, is planted by Xehanort to track him, guide him to where he and his cohorts want him, and shatter his heart to turn him into his [[CloneByConversion 13th and final vessel]] and only narrowly thwarted at the very last second. Even then, Sora still falls to darkness and has to be saved from it]].

* An episode of ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'' has Bubbles take a brief FaceHeelTurn after [[AmnesiacHero losing her memory]] and believing herself to be Mojo Jojo. She promptly heads to his lair, steals his clothes while [[GoneSwimmingClothesStolen he's showering]], and wears them for the rest of the episode.

* This happens in ''Music/TheWall''--the 1980 tour, the 1982 motion picture, the 1990 Berlin show, and (mostly) the 2010 tour--when Old Pink turns into "Dark Lord Pink". In the original tour, Roger Waters wore an over-the-top, rhinestone-studded trenchcoat; in the movie, Bob Geldof got an Oswald Mosley-esque makeover; in Berlin, RW wore a Field Marshal's costume; and in 2010, RW sometimes uses nothing more than black clothing with a crossed-hammer armband, but at other venues, the costume is a bit more elaborate.

* In ''TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}}'', {{Space Marine}}s who turn to [[TheCorruption Chaos]] get SpikesOfVillainy on their PoweredArmor, and also have different-looking backpacks for some reason. In particular, the War Hounds (better known as the World Eaters) originally had [[KnightInShiningArmor blue and white]] PoweredArmor. However, they were so ferocious in battle that their armor would always be drenched in blood which made maintenance quite the chore. After their turn to Chaos, the World Eaters now wear scary blood-red armor. Said armor is actually their original white armor (with the requisite spikes added) -- the only difference is that they no longer bother to clean off the blood.

* ''{{Franchise/Extrapower}}'':
** ''[[VideoGame/ExtrapowerAttackOfDarkforce EXTRAPOWER Attack of Darkforce]]'': Cross Crow, as a part of his [[BrainwashedAndCrazy evil brainwashing]], replaces his usual outfit with a stark black and white ensemble.
** ''[[VideoGame/ExtrapowerStarResistance EXTRAPOWER Star Resistance]]'': Valkyries are all brightly dressed with forms and colours that reflect their element. Valdiora, a former valkyrie who has gone demon, dresses in all-black armour punctuated by red, and swings around a similarly black-with-red sword and flail.

* ''Series/TheFlash2014'': In the season 4 episode "Gone Rogue," XS swaps out her white and purple suit for black leather when she joins the Young Rogues. They lampshade that just changing your clothes doesn't say much about your morality, but admit the [[RedEyesTakeWarning red]] GlowingEyesOfDoom are a lot more impressive.
