** In ''The Berenstain Bears and the Love Match'', after Coach Grizzmeyer is informed that there's still a rule against girls being on school wrestling teams, Bertha offers to quit and let a boy replace her, and makes Coach Grizzmeyer promise "not to make a big fuss". He gets around this by setting up a court challenge, entirely legal, rather than letting any of the students (specifically talking to Queenie about it) make a big deal out of it at school. In fact, they're ''so'' good at keeping it quiet that Bertha doesn't find out until after the court case has been won.

** Hive England is required to inform all citizens about other Hives and that they are allowed one free transfer to another Hive; however, they do everything they can to conceal information about those other Hives and make transferring Hives look as utterly unappealing as possible.
** Hive Genex is required by treaty to allow all citizens to have two children with any consenting partner of their choice. While this is allowed, choosing to have children with a partner deemed acceptable is rewarded with better housing and living conditions, making a failure to do so a de facto punishment.

* In ''Literature/MyNextLifeAsAVillainessAllRoutesLeadToDoom'', Catarina is forbidden from continuing her farming hobby when she comes to the magic academy as such things are seen as unbecoming for a lady of such high standing. She manages to get permission to make a flower garden instead (which is more sutably feminine), then proceeds to plant vegetable seedlings anyway, claiming with a straight face that she's raising cucumber flowers and eggplant flowers. Sure, they'll grow into vegetables, but they'll be flowers first.
