* Although there's implication that their having a kid seems to be the source of May and Cody's financial problems and inability to get along, the story averts that and instead focuses on how Rose has made her parents life more fulfilling for it. When the two look through their daughter's viewfinder, Cody sees an image of the day their daughter was born and remarks on how baby Rose takes to her mother. In turn, May sees an image of Cody playing with a toddler rose and warmly notes that she needs her father as well.

** In a more depressing story, May and Cody would look upon their favorite vacation spot with the bittersweet understanding that [[ForegoneConclusion their love life would start to crumble]]. Instead, the game takes an optimistic approach, where the nostalgia encourages the two to realize their falling in love wasn't in vain, and some good came out of it.

** In fact, the story is resolved when the two catch up to their runaway daughter and assure her she's '''''not''''' the source of their marital problems.

* During the end credits, you can see [[spoiler: Cutie the Elephant has been repaired and is whole again! It's a lovely consolation for what the players went through]].
** Also during the credits, May and Cody keep the self-help book that Dr. Hakim incarnated as. For all their exasperation and frustration with Dr. Hakim and his antics, they appreciate that he ultimately helped mend their family.

* As Cody and May travel through the tree to take down the Wasp Queen, one may notice cave paintings depicting the entire history of the squirrels and their civilization in the tree. They were living like cave people, until Cody and May moved in, allowing them to "borrow" their technology. But the highlight is a cave painting that celebrates Rose's birth! Awww! Although they're ultimately [[UngratefulBastard unkind]] to our duo, it can be interpreted that they hold May and Cody in the highest regard and don't actually recognize them in their doll forms.

* In the Greenhouse level, Cody explains to May that he named his prized flower [[MeaningfulName Joy]] so that [[StealthPun Joy would always be a part of their lives]]. Although her being infected is a sobering indication of how neglected their relationship had become, the fact they went through the trouble of freeing her from the infection speaks volumes of how [[RuleOfSymbolism Joy has returned to their lives]]. What's more, both Cody and May own up to Joy being in her neglected state, showcasing [[CharacterDevelopment how far they've from the beginning]] when they were always [[NeverMyFault blaming each other]].

* Cody and May learning that the spy who piloted the Wasp Queen Robot is ''a little bumblebee''! It's too cute when Cody fusses over how adorable she is, and even the logical-minded May can't resist commenting on how "furry and sweet" the bumblebee looks. Later, when the Bumblebee despairs how she's [[DespairEventHorizon lost her nectar and the respect of the wasp hive]], she grieves that she's nothing special. Cody and May beg to differ, [[SincerityMode sincerely]] telling her [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre bumblebees are the most special and important creatures on the planet]]. Although she does [[UngratefulBastard abandon them]] to the squirrels' mercy, it's notably one of the few [[PetTheDog kinder]] moments early in the story where Cody and May aren't just lying or throwing empty promises at somebody.
* ''"Tell Rose, no matter what happens, [[TrueCompanions I'll always be her best friend!]]"'' These words show how much Moon Baboon still cares about Rose [[UndyingLoyalty despite that she hasn't played with him in years]].

** ...which [[ObliviousGuiltSlinging makes it all the more painful]] when the two [[KillTheCutie go through with their initial plan]] to return to normal.
* The Snowglobe chapter, where Cody and May revisit their favorite vacation spot from years ago. The familiar setting of their log cabin brings back memories of a happier time. And their skating on the ice is only time they have fun ''and'' aren't competing against each other. Despite earlier claims of divorcing [[note]](and/or a possibility they'll make good on the divorce)[[/note]], these two just ''light up'' with recognition at this place. The cherry on top of this heartwarming chapter is when they remember something meaningful about the summit of the resort's mountain: it was where Cody proposed to May. According to May, his proposal speech wasn't perfect, but it was better for it because it showed how nervous Cody was, it indicated all the ''bravery'' it took to propose.
* In the Greenhouse level, Cody explains to May that he named his prized flower [[MeaningfulName Joy]] so that [[StealthPun Joy would always be a part of their lives]]. What's more, both Cody and May own up to Joy being in her neglected state, showcasing [[CharacterDevelopment how far they've from the beginning]] when they were always [[NeverMyFault blaming each other]].
* The words from Dr. Hakim trying to encourage May to get over her stage fright. In contrast to his normal performance which is so over-the-top it slides into comedy, this was a very simple encouragement that resonated more for it.
--->'''Hakim:''' You weren't born to be perfect, you were born to be you.
* During the end credits, you can see [[spoiler:Cutie the Elephant has been repaired and is whole again! It's a lovely consolation for what the players went through]].
