** In Vrains Wave, Brave Battler is teamed up with a Hanoi knight when he hoped that his partner is Blue Angel, who silently comments that Brave Battler isn't being cool with his acting. But their defeat line has them bickering that the other had a brick starting hand. It actually calls back to Brave Battler's first LINK VRAINS Duel, where he Dueling a Hanoi and both began with starting hands that has no summonable Monsters (all over Level 4).

* The January 2024 Tag Duel Torunament had a hilarious exchange between Pegasus and Solomon Muto when the latter calls them both old-timers, prompting Pegasus to shout that he's younger than he looks and is closer to Yugi's age than Grandpa's.

** Bonz gets teamed up with Bandit Keith and Yami Bakura, and Bonz quickly ends up marginalized through their interactions, including after their defeat where Keith clearly tries to bite off more than he can chew since he's trying to challenge ''Yami Bakura'' of all people.

* Normally, the strongest version of a character in their unlock event, is Level 50, higher than the maximum level at the event Gate, which is Level 40. Mimi's unlock event however, has Mimi, at her strongest, be Level '''37'''. Which is her own age.

** She constantly interrogates Yuto about what Lulu means to him. He promptly notes she's worse than Yugo when it comes to obliviousness since unlike Yugo who was straightfroward and teased him about it, Celina has no ulterior motive behind asking. She's legitimately curious about their relationship, but due to having NoSocialSkills can't tell that it's an uncomfortable subject for Yuto.

** She teels Declan that since she is part of his older sister Ray, that makes Declan her ''little brother''. Declan is ''dumbfounded''. Especially since Declan is a few years ''older'' than Celina.

* Mimi herself induce some funny reactions from players who never watch Sevens before, as they wouldn't know beforehand that this little girl who in the anime is shown to be even shorter than Yuga (who is already among the shortest in his group of friends!) is........''37 years old with a son''.

* Amongst the NPC Duelists, you'll find Yosh Imimi. But the first unlockable character outside the four main characters is Mimi Imimi, meaning you may have to have Mimi defeat her son several times to level her up unless you go out of your way to avoid it. Here's hoping Yosh's Overcrusher persona becomes a Legendary Duelist down the line.

* All about Lucidien "Luke" Kallister.

** At his unlock scene, after hearing from Yuga about the King of Duels, he is determined to achieve his dream... and in a hilarious callback to the second episode of SEVENS, Luke doesn't hit a wall with a holographic projection, he goes in the direction ''away'' from the Arena.

* Yuga doesn't even realize Kaizo is here with him since Stage 1 until Romin enters Duel Links.
* Amongst the NPC Duelists, you'll find Yosh Imimi.
