** Rose won the SuperpowerLottery to a level beyond any other standard Gem, which just didn't gel with Rose being a basic Quartz soldier. In fact, ''None'' of her powers -- healing (strong enough to resurrect people and animals and to heal cracked gems, both of which are unprecedented in the setting), granting powers such as pocket dimension hair and warping capabilities to said resurrected, a shield/barrier (purely defensive, though it can be thrown), plant constructs -- befit someone specifically made to be a standard soldier. Eyeball even believed that ''only'' the "villainous" Rose Quartz had the ability to heal Gems. Her only offensive weapon was made by Bismuth, not summoned, and not one of her inborn abilities fits "common soldier designed to go out and smash". The [[MookMaker mook-making]] and power-granting abilities especially scream "leader".

* It's a recurring theme that all Gems have personality traits that are either reminiscent or the exact opposite of their gemstone's role in gemology. Diamonds symbolize innocence and integrity of moral values, which are traits that none of the Diamonds so far introduced had — but which fits [[TheCutie Steven]] like a glove.

* Pearl said that she was given to Pink Diamond shortly before Pink was given the Earth. Most Gems say they were ''made for'' the Diamond they serve, but Pearl was ''given'' to Pink, as in she already existed and was reassigned. Now we know what became of the original who ''was'' made for Pink, though it doesn't ''quite'' prove that our Pearl once served White before this. Also, her reboot song in the Movie is "titled system/BOOT.PearlFinal(3).Info" implying she was rejuvenated multiple times before. It's possible her memory of her days of serving as White's Pearl were just wiped.

* While it's a trait shared with the actual Rose Quartz gems she made, Rose's gem has a pentagonal facet. Most of the other Quartz gems seen (apart from some Jaspers) have hexagonal facets, reflecting how Quartz crystals are six-sided in real life. Pink Diamond, meanwhile, has a gemstone with a pentagonal profile and a pentagon-shaped [[BareYourMidriff opening]].

* Bismuth's very existence was foreshadowed: her bubbled gem was visible within Lion's mane space as soon as Steven first entered it, but never discussed, leading to prolonged fan speculation about her before she was finally introduced. Fans even guessed her name, based on the very distinctive appearance of bismuth crystals.

*** The Off-Colors all mention different stories they heard about Rose Quartz, but aside from Fluorite (who doesn't believe Rose existed), they all agree that the stories end with her and the other Crystal Gems getting killed. After Garnet tells her story to refute that, Steven asks her about his vision of Pink Diamond but Garnet quickly dismisses him, saying Pink Diamond is dead. Turns out Garnet was just as wrong about Pink's death as the Off-Colors were about Rose.

The episode "Volleyball" aired way after the Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond reveal - that's not foreshadowing, that's just plot

* In "Volleyball", Pink Pearl reveals that Pink Diamond possessed destructive powers that Pearl and Steven were unaware of. Soon after, Steven in his anger activates his pink state and [[MakeMeWannaShout has an outburt so loud]] that he makes a crater in the ground below him--the same ability Pink Steven demonstrated in "Change Your Mind". Not only that, but Lion has shown a similar roaring attack.

I don't think that was forshadowing, but even if it was, Pearl just wanted to fuse with Garnet, it had nothing to do with Amethyst and it certinally wasn't to spite her.

* In [[Recap/StevenUniverseS2E12WeNeedToTalk "We Need To Talk"]], Pearl lies to Rose that she wants to fuse with her to spice up Greg's video, when in reality she wants to spite him. This shows that Pearl is willing to manipulate others into fusing with her for personal gain, which is an abuse of fusion. [[Recap/StevenUniverseS2E14CryForHelp Pearl tries this again with Garnet to spite Amethyst]] for when she fused with the latter in [[Recap/StevenUniverseS1E20CoachSteven "Coach Steven"]].
