However, there is more than meets the eye to this situation, as Lockdown is working with Cemetery Wind for some unknown reason while hunting for Optimus Prime, and the mere presence of the infamous mercenary indicates that Earth is in the sights of a malevolent entity with ties to the early history of Cybertron. With the help of their newest allies Adam Nova and the Yeager family, the Autobots must rally to save mankind even as they are being hunted on all fronts, all while the Decepticons bide their time for their return.

** Fracture, Divebomb, Dreadwing, Payload, Stockade, Overcast, Dropkick, Wreckage, Jetstorm, and Incinerator from the movie toylines appear as members of the Decepticons along with G1 alumni Swindle, Ramjet, Thrust, and Astrotrain in addition to movie comic-exclusive character Flatline.
