->''"I started to really think about my life, who I'd been, what I'd done with it, what it had all been for. The emphysema was getting worse, riding had become impossible, work even more so, and I was alone - it wasn't how I'd ever imagined my life would work out. I was profoundly depressed, to be honest, and wondering if life was worth the effort."''

Robin Stewart, (9 October 1946 -- 22 November 2015), was a British actor best known for playing Mike Abbott in ''Series/BlessThisHouse''.

He had a long career on TV, with one of his earliest roles coming in ''Bless This House'' as Mike, the hippie son of Creator/SidJames. Reportedly, Stewart and James had a [[HostilityOnTheSet rocky on-set relationship]], due to Stewart often taking a lax approach to learning his lines. He was unavaliable for the [[TheMovie 1972 film spin-off]], and was [[TheOtherDarrin recast]] with Creator/RobinAskwith, [[CastTheRunnerUp the original choice for Mike in the series]].

Aside from the aforementioned ''Bless This House'' film, Stewart appeared in others such as ''Adventures of a Private Eye'', ''Film/{{Cromwell}}'', ''The Haunted House of Horror'', ''Film/TheLegendOfThe7GoldenVampires'', and ''Film/{{Tamahine}}''. After going to New Zealand for a telethon, Stewart ended up relocating to Australia, where he continued his acting career in {{Soap Opera}}s such as ''The Young Doctors'' and ''Sons and Daughters''.

He died at the age of 69.
