Conner Kent has had a rough couple of years. First he was erased by the Flashpoint, only to return and discover that Jon Kent has taken his place as Superman's heir. With the Earth now home to an entire Superfamily, where does the hybrid clone of Superman and Lex Luthor fit in? Determined to carve his own path, Kon-El turns to one place where he won't be competing with his estranged Family members: the stars! When a distress call from a section of the universe that has never seen the S-shield before reaches Earth, Kon jumps at the chance to make a name for himself. What he finds out in space is a Dominator who has created super-soldiers by capturing innocents and using their DNA, then exterminating the subjects once their usefulness has run out. Sounds like a job for Superboy! Too bad he will also have to contend with the mysterious Cosmoteers, who think Superboy is one of the Dominator's experiments...
