* MechanicallyUnusualClass: All of the commanders and their ships have the ability to use a destroyer's speed boost and a battleship's self repair ability, but unlike both can do so ''indefinitely''. See their respective sheets for additonal information.

* MechanicallyUnusualClass: ''Valkyrie'' is the most {{Downplayed|Trope}} version of the three in this regard - she has an infinite use self repair power, as well infinite uses of a speed boost consumable, but both still have a cooldown.

* MechanicallyUnusualClass: ''Gale'' lacks any primary armaments, instead having access to a quartet of torpedo launchers for primary attacks. Additionally, the ship has a set of 'charges' that are split between a self repair powerup, reload speed boost, and speed boost. Pressing their key bindings diverts charges to one of the abilities at the expense of the others.

* MechanicallyUnusualClass: ''Heracles'' uses Laser Cannons as its primary armaments, which have a delay before firing, but have pinpoint accuracy and inflict more damage the more of the beams hit the target. His abilities, meanwhile, give the entire division buffs, like enhanced turning speed.

* NoodleIncident: Apparently, Monaghan is the sworn mortal enemy of [=McGraw=] whose grudge is so black that she would rather die than make peace. As evidenced by Monaghan RAGING at the mere thought of talking to [=McGraw=] when Joslyn suggests doing so.

Captain McGraw, as his name indicates, is a veteran of (virtual) naval warfare and familiar with how life and battle goes in World of Warships ever since Open Beta. Ensign Tate R. Smith is the new crew member who is slowly realizing that the historical tactics and logistics of real life don't exactly apply here.

* PromotedToPlayable: The Teddy Bear that contains the Union Core of the Kirishima was available to be earned as a Captain.
