** Due to his single target attacks, Musashi Miyamoto is only really effective against black enemies who have a ton of HP and are strong enough to the point where they're only spawned in all by themselves or in small groups (e.g. Bun Bun Black, Le'Noir, Two Can, Director Kurosawa). To be fair, this is somewhat alleviated by his multi-hit ability and fairly fast attack rate.

* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Not having any traits may seem like a setback and most early White enemies are pushovers... but once monsters like R. Ost, Dolphina, Mr. Mole, and Kory show up, it becomes evident that a lack of a trait means a lack of weaknesses. Even worse, cats that exclusively target traitless are either Ubers (the Epicfest Ubers), hard to get (Glass Cat, Lone Cat and Kitten, Dogumaru) or are hard to utilise properly (Filibuster Cat X).

* KungFuProofMook: Since most cat abilities specifically target traits, not having a trait means that ElementalRockPaperScissors will fail to work against them, and they're naturally exempt from effects that target all traited enemies. The only exceptions to this are effects that target all units indiscriminately (or non-Metal) or effects that specifically target traitless enemies; unfortunately, cats that exclusively target traitless are either Ubers (the Epicfest Ubers), hard to get (Glass Cat, Lone Cat and Kitten, Dogumaru) or are hard to utilise properly (Filibuster Cat X). Often, the only real solution to a powerful traitless threat is to leverage some other advantage, like stats, range, or speed.

* LuckBasedMission: Due to the nature of the Metals, most fights with many of them will tend to feel like this since your success almost entirely depends on whether or not your unit crits. The Metal Cyclone literally requires constant crit rates to beat.
* NoSell: While they obviously do this to standard attacks, they also tend to be immune to status effects that would normally target all units.
* OptionalBoss: Metal Cyclone is one, being boss of its own stage and dropping a special cat.
