* ActionGirl: Considering her job, she's definitely one of these. And even though she hasn't actually demonstrated as much yet, the impression she gives off at a staff meeting is enough to make Drew have no reason to question her status as one.
* AloofAlly: While arguably on the same side as all the other staff members, she largely acts rather aloof and seemingly antisocial towards any people she doesn't already have a close working relationship with. This behavior however largely doesn't exactly endear her to most of the staff outside the security division.
* AscendedExtra: Aside from being Jack's LoveInterest, she was given comparatively little to do in Fanfic/PrehistoricEarth. Here, she gets a lot of focus in both the main story and spinoff Extras, while also having exactly the kind of JerkWithAHeartOfGold ActionGirl personality she was originally supposed to have in Prehistoric Earth.

* AccompliceByInaction: While he has the same low opinion of both Percival and the antics of his ostensible underlings that the established park staff have, he initially makes no effort at reigning in his underlings or filing any complaints against Percival due to feeling it would be better to have guaranteed low wages than risk getting dismissed. He swiftly makes up for this initial status big time once he makes a deal with the park staff that allows him the ability to still get paid even while no longer actively in allegiance with Percival.

While Drew and the rest of the rescue team are busy in the past rescuing animals for the park (and even when Drew and the rest of the rescue team are present at the park for that matter), these capable people work to ensure the park stays running smoothly.
----

An African British zookeeper with a history of keeper duty at multiple accredited zoos, and the head keeper of Prehistoric Park. Naturally in charge of cleaning, feeding, and similarly taking care of the resident animals, as well as in overseeing construction of the exhibits/enclosures.
----
* ActorAllusion: Just like in Fanfic/PrehistoricEarth, just make Heimdall, John Luther, or Captain Bogo an ordinary earthling human who works as a head zookeeper instead of an Asgardian gatekeeper, chief detective inspector, or cape buffalo police captain, and you have Kyle.
* AwesomeDearBoy: The opportunity to be amongst the first to care for an entire new class of animals (namely, extinct ones from prehistoric times) proves a key motivator in him accepting Theodore's offer to be head keeper at Prehistoric Park.
* BoringButPractical: Understands the appeal of 'starting small' very well. Naturally, this leads to him undergoing headaches whenever the rescue team allows larger and more dangerous animals to be amongst the first animals brought back during missions instead of saving them for later.
* ButtMonkey: The events that unfold at the park can at times lead to more than a few headaches and long days for him.
* DeadpanSnarker: Proves himself one of these in South of Heaven.
* EurekaMoment: Undergoes one of these (complete with a sudden burst into laughter) during Devils of the Deep when he successfully connects the dots and realizes that the dimetrodon are starting to act somewhat more aggressive than usual as a result of being in the midst of their mating season behaviors.
* FailedASpotCheck: Can occasionally fall victim to this. Most notably, his failure to consider the possibility of compsognathus being capable of swimming resulted in him unwittingly approving an exhibit design that allowed the little dinosaurs the opportunity to escape.
* GracefulLoser: As much as he doesn't enjoy doing so, he owns up to his responsibility for the exhibit design oversight that ended up allowing the compsognathus the ability to escape their exhibit when Nikolai points out his hope that Kyle will take the lesson to heart.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Is shown in Devils of the Deep to have formed a small bond with Rommel the dimetrodon.
* IResembleThatRemark: An acknowledged case. After Nikolai expresses irritation at the tone Kyle ends up taking in his responses to him during a brief disagreement in South of Heaven, Kyle's response is, in the exact same offending tone, "Takes one to know one."
* JumpedAtTheCall: Upon being offered the head keeper position at Prehistoric Park.
* NiceGuy: He can be firm, but he's not unkind (unless he's interacting with people he doesn't like very much).
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Sees no problem in the current system set up for how the park and rescue missions work.
* ShipperOnDeck: He somewhat proves a reasonable form of this in regards to Rommel and Otrera the dimetrodon.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Shows signs of this with Nikolai due to considering him a little too paranoid about the possibility of potential threats amongst the animals rescued. This doesn't stop him though from agreeing with Nikolai on a 'special plan' for security though.
* TokenMinority: The only nonwhite member of the four heads of staff, although thankfully not amongst the entirety of the park's staff as a whole.

----
* ActorAllusion: Linda is once again a NiceGirl working at a zoo.
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Had a close bond with Cirrus the ornithocheirus in Prehistoric Earth. Here, she appears to have only interacted with Cirrus the Quetzalcoatlus as much as was absolutely needed over the course of giving him the medical treatment he needed after his rescue.
* AwesomeDearBoy: While already intrigued by the possibility of 'new horizons', she finds Theodore's offer to work as Prehistoric Park's chief veterinarian impossible to pass up once she learns that it means getting to work with dinosaurs and other extinct prehistoric animals in the flesh.

* JumpedAtTheCall: Had no problem with accepting Theodore's offer to serve as Prehistoric Park's chief veterinarian.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Much like Kyle, she sees no problem with the current arrangement for how Prehistoric Park works.
* ShipperOnDeck: Judging by her thoughts over the course of seeing the two undergoing an apparent mating ritual, she appears to be this for Rommel and Otrera the dimetrodon pair.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Is the only woman amongst the park's four chiefs of staff.

Former Spetsnaz agent turned head of security at Prehistoric Park.
----
* ActorAllusion: This isn't the first time (or even the second time for that matter) Nikolai has served as TheBigGuy of a team or served as a ParentalSubstitute for a troubled girl with a complicated family past.
* TheAtoner: He explicitly views Prehistoric Park as a chance to start over in life via working at a place of life where he can work to save things instead of killing them after having spent many years before getting hired by Theodore as a bringer of death for the Spetsnaz.
* TheBigGuy: The most physically combat capable of the park's four heads of staff.
* BoysLikeCreepyCritters: Loved capturing and releasing insects when he was a child.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: As tough and merciless as he looks on the outside, he's actually a very decent person on the inside once you get to know him.
* BrutalHonesty: He makes no secret how dangerous he considers multiple animals at the park to be and how important it is for him and the other security guards, plus the other staff, to be on their toes and at the ready for any potential problems or danger to unfold.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Suffered multiple physical scars, plus some mental ones in the form of PTSD, as a result of his experiences in the Spetsnaz. And that's just what he's willing to allow people to know.
* DrowningMySorrows: As can typically be expected from most ex-soldiers without direction, he chose to cope with his past by drinking himself into oblivion. He eventually stopped doing this when Theodore came into the picture.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: He has multiple scars from his past in the Spetsnaz, with some of the more notable ones being positioned on his forehead and arm. And while he may look rather imposing, he's a decent fellow once you've gotten to know him and earned his trust.
* HiddenDepths: During a quiet conversation scene he has with Jack at the end of Alien Empire, he reveals himself to be a NiceGuy underneath his tough and stoic exterior, to have greatly enjoyed catching and releasing insects when he was a child, and to enjoy listening to a large variety of music.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Seems to get along well with and have formed a small bond with Felix the arthropleura.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Can come across as a little excessively paranoid and gruff, but is actually not a bad person underneath it all.
* JumpedAtTheCall: As much as his past in the Spetsnaz affected him, he was not so badly affected as to turn down the offer to work as Prehistoric Park's chief of security when Theodore offered as much.
* MotherRussiaMakesYouStrong: It clearly made him strong enough to work in the Spetsnaz and live to tell the tale (though he usually prefers not to) before getting hired to work at Prehistoric Park.
* OlderThanTheyLook: As Drew notes, he looks fairly young for someone in his early 50s.
* ParentalSubstitute: Collete considers him the closest thing to a father she's ever had, and he himself happily considers her to be his surrogate daughter.
* ProperlyParanoid: Considering just what kind of animals the park will be working with, he's not entirely wrong to be wary of potential threats.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: While understandably on guard over potential threats, he's not incapable of accepting a workable plan or system, as Leon and the rescue team can attest.
* TheStoic: Gives off a vibe of not showing off more emotion than absolutely necessary.
* SurvivorGuilt: As unsettled as he feels about all the people he's killed, he also feels equally unhappy about all the comrades he had in the Spetsnaz that ended up dying while he was helpless to do anything to save them.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Kyle shows signs of having this towards him over supposedly being too paranoid about potential threats. Nikolai, meanwhile, seems a little annoyed in Novum Initium over the fact that Kyle and Linda (and, by extension, the rest of the keepers and vets) got the necessary data dossiers on the known possible animals to rescue before he and the rest of the security force did. It is also later explicitly stated in the narrative in Oozing From the Pit that the enmity is very much mutual on both sides. Doesn't stop him and Kyle from mutually agreeing upon a 'special plan' that could help enhance security though.
* TheseHandsHaveKilled: He is well aware of how many people whose deaths he's played some sort of role in causing. Therefore, a key motivator behind his accepting Theodore's offer to serve as the chief security guard at Prehistoric Park.

Chief of the Prehistoric Park research division. Not the best at social skills, but more than makes up for it with his valuable knowledge and sheer brilliance. Of German descent.
----
* AbsentMindedProfessor: Played with in that he's first introduced focusing more on a book he's reading than on everyone else around him when the staff meeting at the beginning of Novum Initium begins, but proves himself to have in fact been paying attention when he later brings up the very real possibility of encountering animals not yet known to science.
* AFatherToHisMen: Has a very close, though also occasionally stern, father-like bond to his three most trusted younger assistants.
* AscendedExtra: Never even got the chance to speak during his first ever appearance in Prehistoric Earth, and got arguably only a single full 'episode' of undergoing the planned prominence he was originally supposed to have in that story. Here, he very much plays a prominent role throughout multiple episodes in both the main story as well as the spinoff Extras.
* AwesomeByAnalysis: Is smart enough and careful enough in his observations to take note of multiple important, and sometimes seemingly insignificant, details; occasionally even noticing details that Leon misses on first glance.
* AwesomeDearBoy: The fact that he'd get the chance to study prehistoric animals as living and breathing flesh and blood animals and finally answer questions that had proven impossible to answer via study of just the bones and other remains proved a heavy motivator for his accepting Theodore's offer to be the chief of Prehistoric Park's research division.
* BrutalHonesty: Tact is not his strong suit.
* DeadpanSnarker: Sometimes.
* JumpedAtTheCall: Like the other chiefs of staff, he took very little convincing to accept the offer to work at Prehistoric Park.
* ParentalSubstitute: Is revealed to have started taking care of a pair of abandoned ornithomimus eggs in The D-Bags.
* ProperlyParanoid: Considering how the rescue team ends up bringing at least two undiscovered pterosaurs, plus several undiscovered prehistoric mammals, back to the park in only the first mission, he wasn't entirely wrong to check to see if they'd planned on what to do in the event of such a possibility.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Much like his fellow chiefs of staff, he's perfectly capable of accepting a reasonable plan or explanation suggested by his coworkers and underlings.
* SeenItAll: After about two weeks' worth of incidents involving the compsognathus escaping from their exhibit, he is no longer surprised outside of brief bafflement when he finds a trio of the little dinosaurs in his office after a recent escape. He's still excitably flabbergasted though whenever a species undiscovered in the fossil record is discovered alive and brought through the portal though.
* TheSmartGuy: Amongst the park's heads of staff. Being the chief of the park's research division, it only makes sense he's this.

Linda's direct assistant in the Prehistoric Park veterinary division.
----
* ActorAllusion: This isn't the first time Yolanda has been involved in something that required her to work with dinosaurs (although these dinosaurs are flesh and blood instead of alien robots).
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Was never really shown to interact that much (if at all) with Alice and Jack in Prehistoric Earth (although the former at least turned out to know her well enough to answer some important questions about her that Leon at one point ended up asking). Here, she's explicitly described in the narrative to have ended up becoming very close friends with both of the Denham siblings.
* AdaptationalPersonalityChange: Compared to her Fanfic/PrehistoricEarth counterpart, she's a bit more of a spitfire.
* BirdsOfAFeather: Thanks to having a very similar sense of humour, she and Jack get along quite well and become fast friends.
* CrashIntoHello: Her first proper meeting and interactions with Leon end up ensuing after accidentally engaging in one of these with him.
* CutenessProximity: As demonstrated by her reaction to the sight of two baby allosaurus playing tug-of-war with their food, she has a tendency to suffer from this.
* DistressedDamsel: Is accidentally knocked into the crassigyrinus pool and rendered in need of rescue during South of Heaven. Fortunately for her, Leon is quick to come to her rescue (with Andrias the proterogyrinus ending up also summoned into the area to provide additional assistance).
* GenerationXerox: As Drew mentally notes, she and Linda look so startlingly alike that it's rather surprising she's not Linda's daughter.
* GenkiGirl: Rather enthusiastically nods her head in agreement with Linda (complete with a wide smile on her face) over the course of a staff meeting.
* TheGlomp: How she likes to express gratitude.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: With her, truer words could never be spoken.
* KindlyVet: Very much takes after Linda in this regard.
* NiceGirl: Just like Linda.
* ShipperOnDeck: The Little Guys indicates she's a big Jack/Colette shipper.
* ShipTease: A subtle example pops up in the very first proper 'episode', as she is the subject of a brief glance that Leon directs out of the corner of his eye right before a staff meeting. She also directs a subtle look of clear intrigue his way while he's passing a copy of the Brachiosaurus mission's animal dossier he made towards Nikolai and Colette during that same meeting. And that's without considering the massive heaping amount of much less subtle forms of this the two later receive together in South of Heaven and beyond.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: A girly girl to Alice and Colette's tomboys.

A member of park security, and Nikolai's 'number two'. Of French descent.
----
* ActionGirl: Considering her job, she's definitely one of these.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Since Jack is largely one of the few staff members outside the security division that treats her nicely and actually understands the true nature of her seemingly haughty and antisocial Jerkass behavior, she returns the favor by being nice to him and letting him see her hidden soft side.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Is a no nonsense ActionGirl and largely gives off a ImNotHereToMakeFriends vibe, but appears to have a hidden soft center that she's willing, for some reason or other, to allow Jack to have rare glimpses of when they interact.
* ClosetGeek: Lightly implied to be this in Hell's Labyrinth when she ends up recognizing a reference Jack makes to Series/Firefly. Jack very swiftly makes note of this fact.
* ContraltoOfDanger: She is an ActionGirl who speaks in a low husky voice.
* FascinatingEyebrow: Immediately raises her eyebrow in Novum Initium upon noticing that there was only one copy of the mission's 'animal dossier' in the folder containing it despite Leon claiming he'd made two (the first of which had already been given to Kyle quite a while earlier).
* Foil: To Leon. Both of them can come across as rather antisocial and aloof and have a small group of close companions. Leon, however, is much more willing to try to add new members to his group of companions, does not at all try to hide what people he feels comfortable and happy to be in the company of, and rarely ever intends to make himself look as antisocial as he sometimes comes across to be. Colette, on the other hand, deliberately puts on an antisocial and aloof front, is a lot more slow in allowing herself to consider allowing new additions to her group of close companions, and usually tries to keep those she considers close friends and how happy she feels when around them a secret from everyone else.
* He's Not My Boyfriend: Expresses this viewpoint in regards to Jack when Yolanda playfully teases her on perhaps having a crush on him over the course of Building Bridges.
* IcyBlueEyes: Explicitly described as having these.
* ImNotHereToMakeFriends: Largely more focused on her work than on making any lasting friendships with any of the other staff. Jack and Nikolai appear to be noticeable exceptions to this rule, however.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Is revealed in Of Scales and Feathers to have been slowly forming a bond with Nero the dire wolf. And in The Oddities, it is revealed that she has also started forming a similar bond with Hannibal the argentavis.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Can act in ways that seemingly convey her as being rather haughty and placing higher priority on her work than on making any friends, but has a HiddenHeartOfGold that she proves willing to show to Jack.
* TheLancer: Explicitly referred to by Nikolai as his 'number two'.
* LikeADaughterToMe: Nikolai views her as his surrogate daughter, and she likewise considers him to be like a father to her.
* ShipTease: Shows signs of receiving this with Jack in Red in Tooth and Claw and Oozing From The Pit. Shows even more signs of this in Feather and Scale in Prehistoric Park: Extras. And yet more continues to come in the chapters that follow in both stories.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: A tomboy to Yolanda and Kaisumi's girly girls.
* Tsundere: Typically has a rather sour exterior, but also has a hidden sweet and soft side that she usually only shows to a small number of people.

One of the ornithischian keepers at Prehistoric Park. Of Vietnamese descent.
----
* AbusiveParents: Her parents did very little (if anything) to discourage the divide that ensued between her and her older sister Tina. In fact, they often openly encouraged them into going against each other and seemed to almost always favor Tina.
* ActorAllusion: Once again, Creator/KellyMarieTran plays a character with an older sibling she's in some way considered 2nd fiddle to. Likewise, this same character also forms a close friendship with a character (this time hypothetically) portrayed by Creator/JohnBoyega.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Is often compared rather unfavorably to Tina.
* AsianAndNerdy: Is of Vietnamese descent and is at least intellectually competent enough to work as a keeper at Prehistoric Park.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Despite their current troubled sibling dynamics, Cass still loves Tina, wants them both to be happy working at Prehistoric Park, and hopes for them to someday have a much more improved relationship between them.
* BigSisterBully: Her older sister Tina is implied to have been an emotional variant of this.
* BirdsOfAFeather: Heavily implied to have bonded with and befriended Horace over how they both work with animals that several other keeper divisions consider 'boring and easy'.
* CanonForeigner: Is first introduced in Prehistoric Park Reimagined without having ever appeared in Prehistoric Earth.
* DeliberateValuesDissonance: An unfortunate victim of this by virtue of how her and Tina's parents are firm followers of familial traditions as they are practiced in their ancestral homeland of Vietnam.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Has developed a bit of a bond with Einstein the pachycephalosaurus, although this doesn't stop her from getting annoyed whenever he tries to steal and eat her apples (and especially so if he succeeds). She has also developed a similar close bond with Theo the triceratops.
* NoRespectGuy: As far as Horace is aware, the fact that she is an ornithischian specialist (a keeper division with very similar work as that done by the hoofstock specialists) is enough for her to qualify as this amongst some of the other 'more glamorous' keeper divisions. And it is implied that they bond over this unfortunate stigma.
* PetTheDog: She and Horace both prove willing to allow Leon to work with them and their respective animal keeper divisions when they notice both how he genuinely wishes to help and improve his skills as well as how his current reputation as 'the useless one' has caused the staff to treat him in ways fairly similar to the overall lack of respect her and Horace's divisions receive.
* ShipTease: Starts receiving this with Horace in The D-Bags.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Loves to eat an apple for lunch every day. Unfortunately, this is a fact that Einstein the pachycephalosaurus proves well aware of once he gets a taste of this fruit himself.
* TheUnfavorite: Implied to be this for her parents, who are in turn implied to mostly favor her older sister Tina.

Cass's older sister, and one of the mammal carnivore keepers.
----
* AbusiveParents: Her parents considered her their favorite and openly encouraged the divide between her and Cass.
* ActorAllusion: Veronica Ngo is once again an older sister to a character (in this case, hypothetically) portrayed by Creator/KellyMarieTran.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: To her sister Cass.
* AsianAndNerdy: Is of Vietnamese descent and has the necessary intelligence level to know how to handle large and dangerous carnivorous mammals. She is also shown to have a decent amount of knowledge on the works of Hal Markowitz.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: As troubled as their current sibling dynamics are, she still loves Cass in her own way.
* BigSisterBully: Served as an emotional variant of this to Cass when they were younger.
* BigEgoHiddenDepths: Secretly loves her sister very much in her own way and privately hopes at times that their dynamic and relationship could be better than it currently is. Unfortunately, a mixture of spending the majority of her life taught to view her and Cass's current dysfunctional dynamic as perfectly acceptable and her own pride makes the idea of trying to patch things up with Cass a very difficult idea to even consider, let alone accept. And she's certainly not one to feel ashamed of her own accomplishments either.
* CanonForeigner: Much like her sister, she never once appeared in Prehistoric Earth.
* DeliberateValuesDissonance: Raised to view the standard family values of Vietnam as perfectly acceptable, which has unfortunately helped contribute to her current dysfunctional bond with Cass and for her to start having doubts about the morality of such traditions when exposed to the very different (and more visibly loving and healthy) sibling dynamics between the Denhams, Leon and his younger sister, and several baby animal siblings.
* ParentalFavoritism: As far as their parents were concerned, she was the clear favorite in comparison to Cass.

One of the sauropod keepers at Prehistoric Park. Of Indian descent.
----
* AsianAndNerdy: Of Indian descent and is smart enough to be a competent sauropod keeper.
* CanonForeigner: Is first introduced in Prehistoric Park Reimagined without having ever appeared in Prehistoric Earth beforehand.
* HumbleHero: He is one of the more humble keepers amongst the ranks of the sauropod keepers. He's even tasked himself with acting as peacekeeper between all his fellow sauropod caretakers.
* InterspeciesFriendship: While outright calling it 'friendship' isn't necessarily advised, he has come to feel like he's developed a close bond with several of the sauropods he's personally worked with; particularly Shorty and Baylene.
* OnlySaneMan: Amongst the sauropod keepers to the point he has to always serve as their mediator whenever they argue or similarly let their inflated egos get the better of them.
* ShipperOnDeck: Judging by a half joking comment he made towards Horace and Cass over the course of Hell's Labyrinth, he appears to be quite open to the idea of them being a couple.

One of the mammal hoofstock keepers at Prehistoric Park. Is of Nigerian descent.
----
* ActorAllusion: Once again, Horace becomes close friends with a character (this time hypothetically) portrayed by Creator/KellyMarieTran.
* BirdsOfAFeather: His awareness of this trope, and the fact that ornithischian keepers are not entirely that different from hoofstock keepers as far as overall work is concerned, is enough to convince him to try to form a friendship with Cass Cheng.
* BoringButPractical: Perfectly ok with using comparatively 'boring' methods of providing his charges with enrichment, as they usually prove effective enough to more than make up for their lack of inventiveness.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Looks very tough and imposing, can be very no-nonsense in his work, and often speaks rather tersely when he's not being willingly silent. But as anyone who's especially close to him will tell you, he's actually a very decent and friendly guy.
* CanonForeigner: Was not present whatsoever in Prehistoric Earth.
* HiddenDepths: Is actually a lot smarter and more capable than his position as a hoofstock keeper would lead most people to believe (especially when around people he trusts sufficiently enough to feel comfortable around).
* InterSpeciesFriendship: Calling it 'friendship' is debatable considering the rules of animal care, but he has formed a decently close bond with Dermot the doedicurus.
* NoRespectGuy: He and the other hoofstock keepers tend to be looked down upon by most other keepers and administrators at the park due to their positions seemingly being the easiest and not much more than glorified farm hand work. He is well aware of this belief, and not at all happy about it.
* PetTheDog: He and Cass both prove willing to allow Leon to work with them and their respective animal keeper divisions when they notice both how he genuinely wishes to help and improve his skills as well as how his current reputation as 'the useless one' has caused the staff to treat him in ways fairly similar to the overall lack of respect his and Cass's divisions receive.
* ShipTease: Starts receiving this with Cass in The D-Bags.

Captain of the Ancient Mariner. He is first introduced in time to help Drew, Jack, and Alice out in the nothosaurus mission in New Blood.
----
* BewareTheNiceOnes: While arguably fairly carefree and laidback most of the time, especially compared to his much more serious and no nonsense first mate Kira, he does not at all hesitate to spill the beans on Jack and Leon after he catches them squabbling at a time when they are supposed to be keeping watch over the radar and starboard camera for Drew's sake in Devils of the Deep and end up accidentally putting their leader at risk of getting either killed or maimed by a foursome of dunkleosteus (and is even shown with a withering glare on his face directed towards them when they and Drew first notice he's even there on the upper deck of the Ancient Mariner with them when he's first revealed to have been present in time to see them squabbling).
* CanonForeigner: Despite his ship having been present in Prehistoric Earth, he himself was not present alongside it in the former fanfic.
* TheCaptain: Shares this role with Drew and his first mate Kira.
* CoolBoat: His ship, the Ancient Mariner, qualifies as this.
* InterspeciesFriendship: With Nemo the juvenile nothosaurus.
* LetsGetDangerous: As much as he typically leaves the especially heavy lifting of captainship to his first mate Kira, he is more than capable of pulling his weight and showing off a more authoritative side to him whenever he finds himself and his crew in an especially dangerous situation.
* MellowFellow: He's very easy going and slow to anger to the point that sometimes he can end up being a little too generous with how he allows the Ancient Mariner crew to spend their time, which leaves first mate Kira Nagayoshi the duty of making sure everyone stays on task when on duty.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Despite his laid back and seemingly carefree nature, he is not without good reason for his position as the Ancient Mariner's captain. And he most certainly will not put up with one ounce of bullshit from Jack and Leon when they're under his watch.
* ThoseTwoGuys: Is almost always seen sharing scenes with first mate Kira.

First mate of the Ancient Mariner. In his own words, he is the one responsible for keeping the crew in line and on task when the captain is feeling too generous with how the crew spends their time at work.
----
* ActorAllusion: This isn't the first time that Creator/BrianTee has worked at a zoo full of dinosaurs.
* CanonForeigner: Much like his captain and the rest of his crew, he never appeared alongside the Ancient Mariner in Prehistoric Earth.
* TheCaptain: Arguably shares this position with Drew and Stavros (the latter of whom is the actual officially named captain of the crew).
* TheLancer: He's the first mate of the Ancient Mariner's crew.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Much like Stavros. Despite his somewhat more serious nature and personality compared to his captain, he can be convinced into undergoing a reasonable idea.
* StraightMan: To Stavros's comparative wise guy.
* ThoseTwoGuys: Is almost always seen sharing scenes with captain Stavros.

Co-chief veterinarian at Prehistoric Park from Ireland who loves to pass his free time painting pictures of the park's animals.
----
* AFatherToHisMen: Due to being a father to two children that are currently still in Ireland alongside his wife, he knows very well how to handle some of the younger staff members.
* GoodParents: Is a very good father to his children.
* KindlyVet: Is a NiceGuy and a veterinarian.
* MellowFellow: Is very patient and slow to anger, traits that he is well aware are useful for him as both a veterinarian and as a painter.

One of the vets at Prehistoric Park. Can seem rather unusual and difficult to get to know, but is a good friend to those who know her well enough.
----
* AloofAlly: Is one of the more solitary members of the veterinary division and usually prefers to keep to herself.
* CanonForeigner: Despite initially being considered for inclusion in Prehistoric Earth, she never appeared in the former fanfic.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: Is somewhat pale skinned and half of her hair is black (the other half is red; and it's left ambiguous as to which color is natural and which (if not both) is the result of dye).
* Expy: According to Nathanoraptor, she is heavily based upon Sam Manson.
* FriendToAllChildren: Is noted to get along well with children.
* FriendToBugs: Noticeably likes hanging around invertebrates (and also smaller mammals and reptiles) during her moments of free time.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Shown to have formed a version of this with Selqet the pulmonoscorpius and Neith the megalorachne, plus Larry the petrolacosaurus.
* KindlyVet: Can be a pretty NiceGirl when one gets past her seemingly creepy, morbid, and disconcerting initial exterior behavior and vibe. She can still be pretty firm at times though.
* MoralityPet: Is noticeably one of the few people that Selqet the pulmonoscorpius trusts enough to allow to carry her around by hand.
* MulticoloredHair: One half of her hair is black and the other half is red; and it is left ambiguous which half (if not both) is the result of dye.

One of the chief security guards at the park. Serves as Nikolai's first officer and acts as captain of the security force when Nikolai's not around.
----
* CanonForeigner: Had no counterpart whatsoever in Prehistoric Earth.
* HiddenDepths: Despite looking like a jock type of person, he is revealed to have actually done a decent amount of research for the sake of his job and having decent knowledge on the animals.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Has formed a bond with Forestock the harpactognathus (whom he personally helped hatch after his egg fell from his nest) and is actively training him to serve as his personal security animal companion.
* TheLancer: As first officer, he naturally shares this position with Colette in the park's security forces.
* NiceGuy: Is fairly friendly and non-confrontational throughout his interactions with Jack.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Is entirely willing to hear what Jack has to say when the latter is helping him and his team in their work on inspecting the giant theropod carnivore enclosures, and even works to try to keep Joe Bristow in line.

A corporal in Willowby's team who serves as the structural specialist.
----
* ActorAllusion: This isn't the first time that Peter has been a person that worked with machines.
* CanonForeigner: Has no counterpart in Prehistoric Earth.
* GrumpyBear: His face very rarely, if ever, shows signs of any expression other than a humorless scowl.
* HiddenDepths: Despite having an athlete's build, he is implied to have been smart enough to devote an appropriate amount of time doing necessary research on the animals.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Has formed a bond with Geronimo the palaeosaniwa.
* TheStoic: Has a very humorless face and doesn't show much emotion other than a humorless scowl.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Not necessarily evil, but his stoic manner, humorless face, and rather patronizing clarification to Jack about what his position entails is enough to make him come across as the team jerk at the very least.
* UtilityPartyMember: While likely plenty skilled in combat in the event of a crisis, he largely works as the expert in the construction and repair of fences and similar elements for the park.

A sergeant in Willowby's team who serves as the field expert and resident tracker of the team. Hails from Scotland.
----
* ActorAllusion: Via HypotheticalCasting, he and David have worked together before in circumstances involving unusual circumstances (although in this case they're both active members of the same team).
* BraveScot: Is of Scottish descent and a member of the park's security forces.
* CanonForeigner: Has no counterpart in Prehistoric Earth.
* CoolOldGuy: Is one of the older members of the team.
* HiddenDepths: Implied to have taken the time to do important research on the animals despite his largely looking somewhat like how an athlete would look.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Has begun training saurornitholestes brothers Smith and Wesson to serve as his personal security guard animals as of their rescue in The D-Bags.
* NiceGuy: Seems to get along well with Jack.

A private in Willowby's team who serves as the team medic.
----
* ActorAllusion: Via HypotheticalCasting, he and Calum have worked together before in circumstances involving unusual circumstances (although in this case they're both active members of the same team).
* CanonForeigner: Has no counterpart in Prehistoric Earth.
* CombatMedic: Serves as the team medic, and is more than capable of taking care of himself in a fracas.
* HiddenDepths: Implied to have done a respectable amount of research on the animals despite his overall jock style looks.
* TheMedic: And one trained for combat to!
* NasalTrauma: Clearly underwent this judging by how he has a rather badly broken nose.
* NiceGuy: Is one of the friendlier members of the team and Jack takes a liking to him immediately after first meeting the guy.
* PerpetualSmiler: Has a very broad smile that you are much more likely to see than not see.
* TokenMinority: Is the only black member of the team.

Another private in Willowby's team. Serves as the heavy weapons expert.
----
* ActorAllusion: This is not the first time Joe has had involvement with heavy weaponry or otherworldly beings and creatures.
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: Has the confident swaggering air of a guy whose been in multiple bar fights.
* CanonForeigner: Has no counterpart in Prehistoric Earth.
* HiddenDepths: Implied to have, despite his overall athlete look, done a decent amount of research on the animals.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Seemingly dwarfs Anita Watts.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Has been forming a bond with Sherman the denversaurus.
* NiceGuy: Once you get to know him well enough, he's not a bad person at all.
* SecretTestOfCharacter: Possibly sent mean sounding comments Jack's way alongside Peter Farnsworth to see if Jack had the spine to prove himself worthy of respect.
* SmileOfApproval: Gives off one of these after Jack shows off signs of having a backbone after one of his attempts at getting a rise out of him.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Hardly 'evil', but he does get along well with Peter Farnsworth and joins him in subjecting Jack to some seemingly harsh comments.

A lance corporal in Willowby's team, the only woman in the team apart from Colette, and the communications expert.
----
* CanonForeigner: Has no counterpart in Prehistoric Earth.
* CommunicationsOfficer: Her role in a nutshell.
* HiddenDepths: Despite having an athlete's build, she surprises Jack by demonstrating a knowledge of the ceratosaurus social structure.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Looks rather waifish when standing next to Joe Bristow.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Is the only woman apart from Collete explicitly mentioned by name amongst the security division.

One of the amphibian/reptile keepers at the park, of Trinidadian descent, and a friend of Jack's.
----
* TheBeastMaster: Is immensely skilled at working with the amphibians under his care and even has a small collection of them as pets living in his living quarters.
* CanonForeigner: Never appeared in Prehistoric Earth prior to his introduction in this story.
* TheCharmer: Is a huge flirt and is always ready to either throw out a flirty line to any attractive girl that suits his fancy or at least run such a line by his friends to see what they think about it first.
* EveryoneHasStandards: While his opinion of Leon early on in the story is about the same as Jack's (and presumably of most, if not all, of the other members of the reptile and amphibian keeper division), he is nonetheless willing to acknowledge that Leon can at least be useful for his animal knowledge, possibly at least slightly respect the fact that Leon's at least trying to improve his skills and standing, and is also (despite not having all that close of a bond with her compared to Jack) grateful for Leon's successfully managing to help rescue Yolanda from the crassigyrinus.
* HypocriticalHumor: Over the course of his introduction in Return of the King, he seemingly rather pridefully boasts that he's looking forward to seeing the reptile and amphibian keeper divisions remind the mammal keeper divisions "who really runs this joint"...immediately after light heartedly complaining that said divisions are starting to get too full of themselves.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Has formed a strong bond with Newter the scapherpeton.
* JumpedAtTheCall: Was not at all slow in accepting the opportunity to take part in the Novum apprenticeship program. Also proved likewise eager to accept the offer to work at Prehistoric Park.
* NiceGuy: Seems quite friendly and on good terms with Jack and their mutual friends amongst the reptile/amphibian keepers.
* NoodleIncident: One particular date he tried to go on with a girl named Marcia during his time stationed in Costa Rica apparently devolved into a rather embarrassing spectacle that had Carmen laughing for days when she learned about it.
* SensoryAbuse: Is subjected to this alongside Hugo and the other keepers present when one of the newly rescued quetzalcoatlus in Return of the King lets out a blaring loud shriek.
* TokenBlackFriend: Being of Trinidadian descent, he is noticeably the only black member of the four prominent reptile/amphibian keepers introduced in Return of the King.
* TrueCompanions: With Jack, Hugo, Carmen, and Maria.

A Hispanic amphibian/reptile keeper at the park and a good friend of Jack and Aaron, and also a childhood friend with Maria.
----
* BirdsOfAFeather: She and Maria both have a mutual love of turtles and tortoises. They are also major pranksters.
* CanonForeigner: Is first introduced in Prehistoric Park Reimagined without having ever appeared in Prehistoric Earth beforehand.
* DeadpanSnarker: Can be very snarky at times.
* GenkiGirl: As snarky as she can occasionally be, she can also be very energetic and outgoing, which makes the fact that she's especially partial to caring for turtles and tortoises very ironic.
* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: She can be quite the girly girl, but also can be a real tomboy every now and then.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Has formed a strong bond with Toby the axestemys.
* JumpedAtTheCall: She and Maria were both eager to accept the opportunity to take part in the Novum apprenticeship program (and later employment at Prehistoric Park) when the opportunity arose for as much.
* NiceGirl: Is good friends with Jack and the rest of the reptile/amphibian keepers at the park.
* RedOniBlueOni: The energetic and outgoing red to Maria's calm and collected blue.
* SpicyLatina: Averted. While very energetic and outgoing, she is not at all stereotypically hot blooded or sexy.
* TrueCompanions: With Jack, Aaron, Hugo, and Maria.

A Hispanic amphibian/reptile keeper at the park and a good friend to Jack, Aaron, and Carmen (with the last of these three having been her friend since childhood).
----
* BirdsOfAFeather: She and Carmen both have a mutual love of turtles and tortoises. They are also major pranksters.
* CanonForeigner: Is first introduced in Prehistoric Park Reimagined without having ever appeared in Prehistoric Earth beforehand.
* EveryoneHasStandards: While it has been neither confirmed nor denied (though it can certainly be inferred) whether or not she has all that high of an opinion of Leon, she at the very least seems to draw the line at blatantly targeting Leon with her and her friends' pranks under the excuse that "it would be like shooting a baby."
* InterspeciesFriendship: Is implied to have formed a strong bond with ALizardNamedLiz Basil the basilemys.
* JumpedAtTheCall: She and Carmen were both eager to accept the opportunity to take part in the Novum apprenticeship program (and later employment at Prehistoric Park) when the opportunity arose for as much.
* NiceGirl: Is good friends with Jack and the other amphibian/reptile keepers at the park. She has also in fact been close friends with Carmen since they were both little kids. And unlike Jack, Aaron, and Carmen, she explicitly draws the line at blatantly choosing Leon as a target for the group's pranks despite potentially somewhat sharing their opinion of him to some capacity or other.
* NotSoAboveItAll: While much more calm and collected compared to Carmen, she is just as much of a prankster as Carmen.
* RedOniBlueOni: The calm and collected blue to Carmen's energetic and outgoing red.
* SupremeChef: Is a very good cook amongst the reptile/amphibian keeper team.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Downplayed, as neither she, nor any of her four fellow reptile/amphibian enthusiast friends are evil by any stretch of the mind. But as far as Leon is concerned, she is at least implied to be much more willing to draw the line at letting her friends blatantly target him as a victim of their pranks and is perhaps not as quick to act openly antagonistic or mocking in her opinions on him as Jack, Aaron, and Carmen.
* TrueCompanions: With Jack, Carmen, Aaron, and Hugo.
* WhatWereYouThinking: Thinks this about herself after finding herself staring alongside multiple keepers in stunned shock at the sight of a small waterfall full of crocodiles coming pouring out of the portal and into one of the holding pens.

One of the amphibian/reptile keepers at the park, and a good friend of Jack, Aaron, Maria, and Carmen.
----
* AffectionateNickname: Is occasionally referred to as "Hawkeye" by Jack, Aaron, Carmen, and Maria because of his skill at archery.
* CanonForeigner: While initially considered for inclusion in Prehistoric Earth, he ultimately never made the cut for the former fanfic and only manages to at last see the light of day for the first time in Prehistoric Park Reimagined.
* DeadpanSnarker: Has a very snarky sense of humor.
* InterspeciesFriendship: According to WordOfGod, with Kermit the beelzebufo.
* IsThatWhatTheyreCallingItNow: Cheekily snarks about Aaron's constant flirting and attempts at dating any attractive girl that catches his fancy immediately after Aaron agrees with Maria's "need to get [our] kicks every now and then somehow" remark.
* JumpedAtTheCall: Did not take long at all to sign up for the Novum apprenticeship program when the opportunity arose, or accept the offer to work at Prehistoric Park for that matter.
* MasterArcher: Is stated to be a very skilled archer.
* NiceGuy: A good friend of Jack and the other reptile/amphibian keepers at the park. And depending on just what sort of opinion he turns out to have on the matter, he may or may not have quite as openly negative an opinion of Leon compared to Jack, Aaron, and Carmen. And then there's the fact that he's also kind enough to remove a bikini top from its unexpected careless positioning (presumably over the course of a recent staff Halloween party) upon the head of Wally the diplocaulus after what is implied to have been a respectable amount of time has passed with no one else doing so.
* SensoryAbuse: Is subjected to this alongside Aaron and the other keepers present when one of the newly rescued quetzalcoatlus in Return of the King lets out an ear splitting shriek.
* TheStraightAndArrowPath: While guns (tranquilizer-based or otherwise) are very much available, he seems to largely prefer wielding his trusty bow and arrows instead.
* TokenMinority: Alongside the black Trinidadian Aaron and the Hispanic Carmen and Maria, he is the only Caucasian amongst the four named reptile/amphibian keepers introduced in Return of the King.
* TrueCompanions: With Jack, Aaron, Carmen, and Maria.
* TrueNeutral: A possible case in regards to his thoughts on Leon. For the narrative has so far neither confirmed nor denied whether he's as openly negative in his opinions as Jack, Carmen, and Aaron, or as comparatively nicer about the matter like Maria.

A member of the park's research division, one of Khatin's three most trusted younger assistants, and a close friend of Alice.
----
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: While described as being a close friend to both Alice and Matt in Prehistoric Earth, his close friendship with the latter largely became more and more of an InformedAttribute over time in the former fanfic due to Matt's DemotedToExtra status caused by behind the scenes drama robbing him of his initially planned prominent role. Will also only shared a single brief scene with Kaisumi in the former fanfic in which the latter never even spoke or interacted with him in any way differently than if she'd have been interacting with any other employee at the park. Here, he is shown throughout multiple chapters to be very close friends indeed to both Matt and Kaisumi as well as with Alice.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Has ash blonde hair and is a NiceGuy.
* NiceGuy: Appears to be a very good friend of Alice, even giving her the option to opt out of assisting him, Khatin, Matt, and Kaisumi with identifying the gender of a newly rescued arthropleura if she's too busy to assist.
* ShipTease: Starts receiving a heavy dosage of this with Alice in Phase 2.
* TrueCompanions: With Alice, Matt, and Kaisumi.

A member of the park's research division, one of Khatin's three most trusted younger assistants, and a close friend of Will and Alice.
----
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: While described as having been a close friend to Alice and Will in Prehistoric Earth, his DemotedToExtra status in that fic that resulted from behind the scenes strife caused this to largely seem like an InformedAttribute. Here, he is shown interacting with Will and Alice enough times to very much warrant such a description. Furthermore, he never shared any scenes with Kaisumi in the former fanfic due to Kaisumi herself getting her initially planned prominence cut down to a single brief silent cameo in Spirits of the Silent Forest, but is shown to be one of her closest friends alongside Will and Alice in this story from as early as their introductory chapter.
* AscendedExtra: Never got the chance to join Will in ascending to the originally planned level of prominence he was supposed to have in Prehistoric Earth after being DemotedToExtra after only one or two episodes in which he played a prominent role. Here, he's already played a prominent role in at least three episodes of the main story and interacted with Alice and Will enough times to more than warrant his description as a close friend of theirs that ended up coming across as an InformedAttribute in Prehistoric Earth as a result of his unintentionally reduced prominence in that fic.
* BrainyBrunette: Dark haired, and one of Khatin's most trusted younger assistants amongst the research division.
* NiceGuy: Appears to have a very close and happy friendship with Alice and Will, even engaging in some good spirited banter with the latter.
* TrueCompanions: With Alice, Will, and Kaisumi.

A member of the park's research division, one of Khatin's three most trusted younger assistants, and a close friend of Will and Matt.
----
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Due to only appearing in a single brief scene in Prehistoric Earth (in which she never even spoke) she only shared the screen with Will, Jack, and Collete without really interacting all that meaningfully with either of them. Here, she's shown to be very close friends with not only Will, but also with Matt and Alice.
* AscendedExtra: She appeared in one scene in Fanfic/PrehistoricEarth, where she had no dialogue. Here, she's fairly prominent.
* AsianAndNerdy: Is Japanese and clearly very smart indeed judging by her position.
* BrainyBrunette: Has black hair and is smart enough to be a member of the park's research division.
* GenkiGirl: While capable of keeping control of herself when actively working, she is shown to be quite energetic and excitable.
* MomentKiller: Can't help but giggle in amusement at the sight of Yolanda hugging Leon in gratitude for saving her life and Leon himself seeming quite happy about as much.
* NiceGirl: Is a good friend to Matt and Will (and is on good terms with Alice), and is very kind, sweet, and polite.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Is the only girl amongst Khatin's trio of most trusted younger assistants.
* TokenMinority: Is the only non-white member of Khatin's trio of most trusted younger assistants
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: A girly girl to Alice and Collete's tomboys.
* TrueCompanions: With Will and Matt.
