** An episode where the cast [[spoiler: travel to the future (where Phineas and Ferbs inventions have become common place and made them famous). Adult!Candace technically busts them to an elder Linda. Old!Linda apologizes to Adult!Candace in a rathe flimsy way for never believing her or taking her seriously for all her teen years, and doesn't do anything to stop the younger Candace from coming to the ''VERY'' skewed take away that she should not give up her obsessive tattling (because this proves her brothers can be busted).]]

** Linda leans further into this trope as an emotional variation. For the most part She's a very pleasant person and a good mother to her children whom respect her. However, whenever Candace begins going on about the boys, Linda tends to drop pleasantries and very quickly not try very hard, usually rolling her eyes, insulting Candace or in the worst case scenerios, ignoring Candace outright. To say this cycle of being disbelieved and insulted by Linda has damaged Candace's psyche to a degree would be an {{Understatement}}, and it leads to further erratic behavior and getting herself hurt trying to prove things to Linda.
