* EnemyMine: [[spoiler:During the Whole Cake Island arc, the Firetank Pirates ally themselves with the Straw Hat Pirates and Caesar Clown in order to assassinate Big Mom. Despite the initial hostility between Luffy and Bege because of the latter shooting Pekoms in the back, the two of them ultimately find themselves trusting and caring for each other during the time of their alliance. That being said, Luffy taking all the credit and glory for Bege's plan surely pisses him off.]]

* AFatherToHisName: Due to being a mafia boss, his underlings all call him by the English word "Father". His Devil Fruit allows his underlings to stay in safety and it's shown that he doesn't expose them to unnecessary danger from the outside. While his Big Father form has incredible defenses, it's not invincible and it cannot withstand the attacks of one of the Four Emperors for too long, and he has to keep this form up in order to protect the people within his castle. As such, his underlings cry for him when he is in pain from taking hits from one of the Four Emperors.

** He extends this mentality to his underlings as well, telling them not to go out and leave his castle when it's dangerous out there, which shows that he doesn't view them as expandable.

* OneWingedAngel: His "Big Father" ("Ein Grosser Vater") technique turns him into a giant walking castle armed to the teeth.

Added DiffLines:

* AmbitionIsEvil: His rise in power comes from betraying and assassinating people, and it goes so far as to attempting to assassinate [[spoiler:Big Mom]].

Added DiffLines:

* BridalCarry: Gender-inverted. When running from the Marines, Chiffon carries Bege and Pez in her arms, causing Bege to blush.

Added DiffLines:

* CharacterDevelopment: In a weird way, Bege's character development happens during the timeskip, but after the timeskip he remains the same man throughout the story. While his marriage with Chiffon has turned him into a BenevolentBoss, a loving husband and doting father, his character does not actually change from his reintroduction in the Zou arc till the end of the Whole Cake Island arc. His character as a ruthless backstabbing plotter remains the same, but due to getting more screentime and who he's siding with in the end, more facets of his characters and powers get revealed, which allows him to be portrayed in a more positive light than previously, despite the fact that he's still the same evil man we saw in his reintroduction.

Added DiffLines:

* FirstNameBasis: He's often referred to by his given name Bege by other characters who aren't his subordinates.

* ActuallyNotAVampire: Because of her Sapphire Scales illness that forced her to remain indoors, she was believed to be a vampire by local kids, one of whom threatens her with a cross on that grounds. Naturally, it doesn't work, and Bonney points out she lives in a ''[[NonResidentialResidence church]]''.

* PutOnAPrisonBus: By the time skip, all the Bonney Pirates were last seen being taken into Navy custody. Bonney is the only one of them shown afterward (except in a non-canon movie). Her crew weren't likely to disband, given their person connection to her, implying she alone escaped.

The captain of the Bonney Pirates and only female Supernova, Bonney has one of the more stereotypical views on what a pirate should be like in the series, which is a completely amoral person who destroys all in their way and looks out only for themselves. She has eaten the Age-Age Fruit (''Toshi Toshi no Mi'') that allows her to change her own age as well as others. She uses it as a disguise on herself and makes her opponents either too young or too old to fight her. Interestingly, the clothes of the Marines she changes into children don't change to fit their smaller forms while her clothes do, implying that skintight {{Stripperific}} outfit is so her clothes always fit her when she transforms. Other than that, she has also demonstrated a powerful kick to Blackbeard's face that was enough to make him bleed, suggesting a good amount of physical strength (a common trait for the strongest of the One Piece world).\\\

Bonney is hit especially hard by the events of Marineford, and unfortunately becomes caught up in their aftermath. However, two years later, she has somehow gotten out of that hairy situation, but is now apparently on her own, fending for herself and trying to hide. Eventually, her travels take her to an infiltration mission of the holy land of Mariejois, where she is mortified to find an old friend in a deplorable state.\\\

* OurVampiresAreDifferent: While Bonney isn't a vampire, from early childhood [[spoiler:the Sapphire Scales disease that she inherited from Ginny forced her to [[WeakenedByTheLight remain indoors and out of all forms of natural light]], sunlight ''or'' moonlight, in order to avoid aggravating her condition]]. This led to her gaining the moniker of "Vampire" by the local kids.
