After the [[ComicBook/XMenTheKrakoanAge Krakoan Age]] revamp delivered a SoftReboot of the X-Men titles, Betsy became the lead of ''ComicBook/Excalibur2019'' and its sequel ''ComicBook/KnightsOfX'', taking on the role of ComicBook/CaptainBritain, while Kwannon decided to take name Psylocke and used it as the leader of the [[ComicBook/FallenAngels2019 Fallen Angels]] and the ComicBook/{{Hellions}}.

* AdaptationalVillainy: She might as well be the Marvel TropeCodifier for this, as with the exception of ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom'' and a handful of other games, no actual adaptation has portrayed Betsy as an actual hero or member of the X-Men like in the comics. The ''Film/XMenFilmSeries'' has her be a villain in both ''Film/XMenTheLastStand'' and ''Film/XMenApocalypse'', and ''WesternAnimation/WolverineAndTheXMen'' has her be an antagonist as well. In ''WesternAnimation/XMenTheAnimatedSeries'' she isn’t portrayed as a villain but isn’t treated as a hero either, at most having a EnemyMine with Archangel against Magneto.

* UnresolvedSexualTension: In ''ComicBook/AdjectivelessXMen'', she had a lot of sexual tension with ComicBook/{{Cyclops}} during a LoveTriangle subplot involving them and Jean. He once even [[ShowerOfAwkward walked in on her fresh out of the shower]] dressed only a skimpy ModestyTowel. The [[AbortedArc subplot was dropped before anything came out of it]].

** Exactly how Japanese is she? She’s a purple-haired British woman who swapped bodies with Japanese assassin Kwannon, so she has Asian features... some of the time. Other artists have Pyslocke look Caucasian. Even more bafflingly Kwannon in Betsy’s body has a epicanthic fold seen in Asian people just to add further confusion.

** Pyslocke is the TropeCodifier for the BoobsAndButtPose but like Rogue a lot artists have dialled her sexiness back to realistic proportions while others keep her curvaceous.

* LoveFatherLoveSon: Or in this case, love father, love daugther. In the 90s Betsy briefly had the hots for Cyclops. Since 2022 she's dating his daughter, Rachel.

* MercyKill: After contracting the Legacy virus in the 90's, she sought out her old lover Matsu'o and requested he give her this as his atonement for his transgressions against both her and Psylocke. Though grief-stricken, Matsu'o gave Kwannon the mercy she sought, and her and Psylocke put aside their enmity to bury her together.

* ''Film/XMenTheLastStand'' (2006): Appears as a '''very''' [[AdaptationalVillainy minor villain]]. Portrayed by Meiling Melançon[[note]]who initially thought she was portraying Kwannon due to [[InNameOnly very little resemblance]] her character has with Psylocke from the comics[[/note]].

* OutlivingOnesOffspring: Her daughter died after she was taken away from Kwannon. Kwannon later gets a chance to get her back, after Mr. Sinister makes a copy of her mind... which [[spoiler: Havok, under the control of Empath, destroys.]]

** [[DroppedABridgeOnHer Killed by a swordsman named Vargas]] [[CurbStompBattle in a one-sided fight]]. Fans of the character were [[CreatorsPet not]] [[InvincibleVillain happy]]. Resurrected without explanation a few years later, and it was a few years after ''that'' that anything resembling said explanation was offered... and it reeked of HandWave.

* PrecociousCrush: Cypher of ''ComicBook/NewMutants'' nursed an unrequited crush on Betsy.
* PrettyButterflies: Betsy's telepathic powers are often represented as butterfly motifs, and she's a LadyOfWar who fights with graceful movements. She was also delicate prior to switching bodies with Kwannon.

* QueerEstablishingMoment: Reveals herself to be bisexual in ''ComicBook/UncannyXForce'' when she kisses and sleeps with a female clone of then-boyfriend Fantomex, who was cloned from one of his three brains (just roll with it). In the [[ComicBook/XMenTheKrakoanAge Krakoan Age]], she gets ShipTease with Rachel Summers [[spoiler:before sharing a BigDamnKiss in ''ComicBook/KnightsOfX''.]]

* AllianceOfAlternate: ''X of Swords'' concludes with the restoration of the Captain Britain Corps, defunct since the Incursions, only now comprised of Betsy's variants rather than Brian's.

* BelligerentSexualTension: Had tons of aggressive sexual tension with the ComicBook/AgeOfApocalypse version of Sabretooth (who was [[AdaptationalHeroism much nicer than the one in her universe]]) during ''ComicBook/{{Exiles}}''. It eventually culminating in [[TheyDo them sleeping together and becoming a couple briefly]], but he got PutOnABus soon after and she moved on.

* FashionModel: She used to be a supermodel before becoming a superheroine. She even posed nude (albeit tastefully, with ToplessnessFromTheBack and a ModestyBedsheet) for Colossus so [[PublicExposure he could draw her portrait]].

* StatuesqueStunner: She's one of the taller Marvel female characters at 5'11" (she's actually the exact height and weight as Kwannon, the ninja body of Psylocke) and she was a former FashionModel.

* BareYourMidriff: Her costume from the ''ComicBook/{{Exiles}}'' comics.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: How does she manages to get Wild Child to behave? By beating the crap out of him. Now he follows her like a loyal dog.

* TheChick: In ''Uncanny X-Force'' Vol. 1, of LadyOfWar variety.

In both film adaptations ''Film/XMenTheLastStand'' and ''Film/XMenApocalypse'' Psylocke is cruel and merciless and even somewhat psychotic in the latter (as seen in her fight with Beast).

* ShesGotLegs: A lot of art of hers likes to focus on her legs, given IconicOutfit usually leaves them exposes and she's [[KickChick often prone to kicking]].

* ShesGotLegs: Puck says that her legs are taller than ''he'' is. When the Excalibur women go through Betsy’s wardrobe, they lament that none of them can pull off the outfits, because Betsy’s clothes were bought when she was in Kwannon’s body, and nobody is as leggy as her.
