* UndignifiedDeathMoralEventHorizon: Him attempting to smother Mineta because of the danger he poses to his cover is seen as this by Aizawa. also doubles as incredibly stupid [[FailedASpotCheck since he didn't think to consider that Mineta would be monitored in a very public hospital.]]

[[folder: Inko Midoriya]]
'''Quirk''': [[MindOverMatter Attraction Of Small Objects]]

Izuku Midoriya's mother and housewife, she is secretly the retired underground pro heroine Verdant, who chose to leave the hero industry after being exposed to the worst aspects of hero society.
----
* AccidentalCelebrity: She becomes this after getting involved with the fight against All For One alongside All Might and Gran Torino. Because she's typically an underground hero, most people do not know anything about her, and thus her surprising power and skill, and subsequent thrashing of such a dangerous villain earns her a lot of admiration. She's less than happy about this, being a very private woman who prefers to avoid the spotlight.
* AdaptationalBadass: Inko was only a regular civilian in canon, [[GoodParents mostly serving as a good mother]] and a source of tension in the story regarding Izuku's safety. Here, she's a experienced pro heroine whose initial hesitation is born from directly knowing about the seedy underbelly of hero society, and how much it can tear one apart. She's also a very skilled fighter, and able to exploit her relatively "weak" Quirk to its fullest.
* DeadpanSnarker: She can go into this territory, especially when it comes to anything related to what Nezu's planning, or just general stupidity.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Inko's quirk is described as "Attraction of small objects", something that doesn't sound very impressive on paper, but she shows how creative application makes all the difference. Not only does she pair it well with her skill in hand-to-hand combat by using surrounding debris as a distraction then getting hits in, but the definition of "small objects" itself is rather ambiguous. Case in point, she erases her husband from existence by pulling apart his atoms when he tried to [[FantasticAbleism murder Izuku for being quirkless]], and at one point demonstrates how most internal organs can be considered small, [[spoiler:incapacitating her opponents by pulling on their bones and causing them excruciating pain, which is how she almost took down Izuku and Bakugo when they're paired against her for their final exams]]. This is why she was quite a successful Underground Pro Hero before deciding to retire.

* AdaptationalHeroism: A mixture of CharacterDevelopment and being more directly influenced by Izuku makes this version of Mineta a lot more heroic and have more moments of genuine decency. His desire to live up to people's belief that he can be more than just a pervy dwarf ends up pushing him to make a risky HeroicSacrifice during the Training Camp in order to save Midoriya and help the others, improving their opinion of him in ways the canon Mineta never managed to.

* AdaptationalIntelligence: While Tomura was never ''lacking'' in intellect in the canon series, it was always tempered by [[Manchild his childish behavior]] and the influence of All For One. In ''Kaleidoscope'', because of Midoriya's influence and differences in how they interact with each other, and Tomura's intelligence being given greater focus, he ends up realizing more and more that All For One is just manipulating him for his own agenda, and begins to question him more and more, especially when the [[EvilIsPetty ancient supervillain makes numerous foolish mistakes for his own petty animosity against the holders of One For All.]] He also ends up having a far more coherent philosophy built on trying to hold Hero society accountable for failing people like him in the past, helping turn the ragtag League of Villains into a [[AntiVillain more focused anti-corruption force]], instead of the easily manipulated TragicVillains in canon.

His attempt to attack Midoriya with a full powered blast from his gauntlets (with Todoroki getting caught in the crossfire) is stated in no uncertain terms to have nearly ended up being this by Inko, noting that if the building had collapsed and/or Midoriya and Todoroki had been killed by the blast, he would have been looking at either Villain Rehab at Ketsubutsu, or Tartarus. Katsuki is understandably ashamed of what he nearly did as a result of his mental break, and vows to do better.

A quiet and fairly reserved girl from Class 1-B who met Izuku by chance during the Entrance exam and ended up forming a friendship with him.
----
* AscendedExtra: Gets more screentime in this fic than in canon because of her friendship with Izuku. She's the 4th member of his team during the Cavalry Battle and even makes into the third round of the Sports Festival.
* DeadpanSnarker: Has a surprisingly snarky personality for all her quiet nature. It comes out when she's making fun of her friends, like when she [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] the "SittingOnTheRoof to clear your head" trope to Izuku.

[[quoteright:211:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bakugo.png]]

Izuku's former childhood friend. He used to bully him for his alleged Quirklessness but most of his bad attitude stemmed from the toxic environment of their schools.
----
* EveryoneHasStandards: Katsuki is left horrified and disgusted when Inko tells him the story of a hero (Endeavor) that, for the sake of becoming Japan's #1 Hero, engaged in morally horrible actions that ultimately only caused pain and damage to everyone around him.
