* DeconstructedCharacterArchetype: Shinji Suzuki is a deconstruction of the BigJerkOnCampus and SchoolyardBullyAllGrownUp archetype. Shinji Suzuki was a successful high school student who got good grades, was president of the student council, and was popular with his classmates. He was also a satanic bully who used his popularity to get away with torturing his victims. His classmates all admire him with them, ignoring what he does to his victims. He grew up to be a successful banker who uses his ruthless personality to reject clients who would normally be sympathetic with a kinder banker. His boss uses him for that kind of work, and his coworkers admire him for his ruthless tactics, with one even calling him an elite person. He has a loving wife and daughter who generally love him, and he generally loves his daughter. Things come crashing down because of his ruthless behavior and cruelty.
** First, he greatly resents his wife because he believes she baby-trapped him in his late teenage when their relationship was deteriorating to force him to marry her and settle down, despite genuinely loving their daughter. He would verbally and physically abuse his wife, making fake apologies and abusing her again. He was also cheating on his wife with one of his daughter's teachers. It also shows that he wasn't really a good father to his daughter, despite his genuine love for her, because he couldn't notice that she was being bullied despite her telling him she was miserable at school because he had the image of the perfect daughter for her. And there's the fact that the reason his daughter was being bullied was because he was having an affair with her teacher, who was unfairly favoring her, which one of the bullies found out and started bullying her as revenge. As a result, his daughter loses all respect for him for not helping her and noticing her problems, and when her bully problems are solved with the help of a kind teacher, she just moves in with her maternal grandparents and his wife, who finds out about his affair and almost committed suicide, lost respect for him, she decided to divorce him and to focus on raising their daughter rather than making him happy.
** Second, his ruthless actions catch up with him when one of his former victims, who was the teacher who saved his daughter, decides to get revenge on him when he makes it clear that he hasn't learned anything from what happened to his daughter and his remorse for his cruel actions. First, his victim and the teacher he was having an affair with revealed his actions to his boss and coworkers, costing him the promotion he was after and the respect of his boss and coworkers. His coworkers were incredibly disgusted about his former actions as a bully at school, unlike his classmates, who admired and ignored his actions, showing that while they were willing to overlook and admire his ruthless actions for work, there were limits to admiring him when he was doing pointless cruelty towards other people. He was demoted and became an outcast to his coworkers, who no longer associated with him. He was eventually fired from his job when he tried to put a hit on his victim, who revealed his actions to his boss and coworkers and eventually ended up homeless.

Nagumo's mother. She is an outspoken education-critic and currently a University Lecturer who has authored several books on the subject. As an educator she believed that bullying should be considered a crime and culprits should receive more severe punishmentpunishment. Little does she know, her "darling" daughter just so happens to be no different from the bullies she regularly condemns, but she falls for her daughter's CrocodileTears and readily accepts her claims that the fault lies on Aizawa while refusing to so much as view all of the evidence proving otherwise. But hey, MamaDidntRaiseNoCriminal is her only viewpoint on life.
