** [[JerkassHasAPoint To be fair though]], * JerkassHasAPoint: While they were harsh with exiling Meramon, he's [[ManOnFire [[WreathedInFlames always on fire]] and not only is their village made of wood and straw, but they also have ''flowers growing out of their heads.''

* AmbiguousGender: The first two episodes make several jokes about how no one is sure whether Meicoomon is a boy or a girl. Meiko even refers to her as "she/he/it" at one point

* {{Expy}}: His voice and mannerisms are identical to Hachi from ''WebAnimation/BleachSAbridged'' by the same group. He's a creepy GentleGiant who wants to make friends with the heroes but they find him terribly offputting despite the words and actions he takes being ''technically'' pleasant.

Seriously not the case. Especially when he was worried about just why there was a random fridge in the middle of the freezing cold with fresh eggs in them. He's the only one who is actually questioning everything rather than just going with the flow.

* TheEeyore: He is ''upset'' when the group is inexplicably saved from freezing to death, because it means that people stop listening to his smug, pessimistic proclamations. It's abundantly clear that what he frames as intelligence and being realistic is little more than an obsession with being right about everything.

* AdaptationalWimp: Downplayed in the prequel series--in the original ''Digimon Adventure'', he managed to trip Kuwagamon by rolling under him; here, he's just rolling because he feels like it and is the only one who doesn't even seem to be ''trying'' to fight Kuwagamon.
