* MusicalThemeNaming: Each member's surname is taken from that of a member of Music/AsianKungFuGeneration, specifically the one whose choice of instrument matches her own. Hitori Gotoh is named after Masafumi Gotoh, Nijika Ijichi is named after Kiyoshi Ijichi, Ryo Yamada is named after Takahiro Yamada, and Ikuyo Kita is named after Kensuke Kita. In the case of Kita and Gotoh, the actual roles are reversed however, as Hitori Gotoh and Kensuke Kita are the lead guitarists for their respective bands, and Ikuyo Kita and Masafumi Gotoh are the rhythm guitarists and vocalists.

* LastNameBasis: Almost everyone who refers to her by name calls her by her surname. The only named character that calls her Kikuri is Eliza.

** The deer she feeds on her visit to Nara Park during her school field trip are more interested in the food than her, mobbing her and leaving her in a crater again.

** Her final exam results is 30 points, which is exactly the passing score in Japan. Her teacher compliments her for studying despite being in a band, implying that she usually does even worse.

* MsImagination: Her imagination tends to run wild when she gets especially anxious or self-deprecating, to the point where her friends have to snap her out of whatever ImagineSpot she's gotten herself into.

** When discussing about the celebrity band Klimt's Night, she gets incredibly giddy and starts blushing, and says that the other member Ame is in love with her. Kita is not impressed and brushes her off.

* {{Tsundere}}: Heavily {{downplayed}}, but she has shades of a Type B towards her sister and Ryo. She's possibly the nicest character in the series, but Seika's pride and {{tsundere}} mannerisms sometimes bring out her more annoyed and snappy side. Similarly, Ryo's [[TheGadfly antics]] are a surefire way to rile Nijika up, and the manga has her frequently call Ryo an idiot or wrestle her into submission.

* FunctionalAddict: For a given definition of "functional", at least. Despite spending almost every waking moment utterly smashed, she doesn't lose any of her skill with her guitar (and might be better at it drunk), and remains in enough control of her faculties to make it to the end of each day. Other than her unwelcome antics both on-and-offstage and noisiness, her drunk state is most peoples' normal.

* {{Miko}}: She isn't an official miko, but she cosplays as one to help new years celebrations at a temple in Shima's hometown. Of course the temple is buddhist, not shinto, so it shouldn't even have mikos. Despite this she is a huge hit with the locals.

!!Klimt's Night

One half of the musical duo Klimt's Night, serving as their composer and songwriter. In person, she's an extremely shy and withdrawn girl.

* ShrinkingViolet: On the most extreme end of the scale, to the point where she can barely communicate with others, whether through speaking or writing, and keeps her face hidden.

* HardDrinkingPartyGirl: Loves to have fun and give it her all, both off and on stage, usually fueled by alcohol. Luckily her drinking habit doesn't seem to negatively effect her musical ability.

* TeamNormal: As the only one in her group who, while reasonably outgoing, is not on one of the ''extreme'' ends of the Introvert-Extrovert scale, Nijika stands out as the most normal in that respect.

* TeamNormal: In a different sense than Nijika, who is the most balanced and levelheaded. Kita is the most normal individual for her fashion-conscious nature and her being surprisingly passive. She's far more oriented towards social activities than individual interests.

* {{Tsundere}}: Heavily {{downplayed}}, but she has shades of a Type B towards her sister. She's possibly the nicest character in the series, but Seika's pride and {{tsundere}} mannerisms sometimes bring out her more annoyed and snappy side.

* AnimalsHateHer:
** Zigzagged; a flock of black kites violently attack her during the group's outing to Enoshima, and Ryo theorizes it's because they instinctively look down on her for her weakness. Despite this, her dog Jimihen seems to have no problem with her.
