[[AC: Ying Xiong (Film/{{Hero}})]]

* It seems like every other scene in ''Ying Xiong (Hero)'' is a crowning moment for one or two characters, and considering that there are [[RashomonStyle up to three versions of each]]...
* During the RainOfArrows at the calligraphy school early in the movie:
** Broken Sword gets a stylus shot out of his hand while he's practicing calligraphy. His reaction? Casually catching one of the arrows flying past him, breaking off one end, and continuing where he left off.
** The old master sends the students back to work, then proceeds to practice his calligraphy in the front of room while arrows hit exposed surfaces all around him and several students take arrows to the back.
** To protect the school from the aforementioned arrow barrage, Nameless fends off the arrows with his sword, but gets one-upped by Flying Snow, who matches his feat while completely unarmed (that is, unless dress sleeves count as a weapon).
* The unnamed Hero's death scene is quite possibly the most badass execution a person could ask for. He walks out to a wall, calmly turns to face an entire regiment of archers, who loose a volley of arrows that [[Film/ThreeHundred blots out the sun]]. Cut to a panning shot of the wall, literally blackened with arrows, and a single human shaped-gap in the middle of the mass. Then, the ''entire'' army is shown marching with the Hero's body, saluting and chanting as they walk, giving him the hero's funeral he deserved.
* Moon's battle with Flying Snow among the swirling red leaves. So beautiful.
* Broken Sword, ''mid-stroke'', closes his eyes, lets go of his sword and commences to leave the king wounded going "What the hell happened?" WarriorPoet indeed.
* The Emperor of Qin gets several moments throughout the story:
** The fact that he is an Emperor at all. Given that this story takes place in the Warring States era, to be able to take absolute control over your province and then make yourself a legitimate threat to all of the other provinces that comprised mainland China in those days is nothing to sneer at. And of course, as history notes, his campaign to unify China was ultimately successful.
** His first moment within the film proper is when he listens to Nameless' account of how he acquired the weapons of the top three assassins in the empire, and ''[[SpottingTheThread immediately picks it apart]]'', ultimately deducing that Nameless is himself another assassin on a mission to end his reign.
** During Broken Sword's and Flying Snow's assault on his palace, he duels Broken Sword in his throne room while Flying Snow is occupying the rest of his army outside. Sure, Broken Sword won that fight pretty handily, but the Emperor at least made him work for it.
** Upon learning just what Nameless is capable of and that he has already achieved the necessary preconditions to guarantee success, the Emperor [[WorthyOpponent sincerely congratulates him on his clever infiltration]], offers his own sword (since Nameless was deprived of his upon entering the palace grounds), [[FaceDeathWithDignity and turns to contemplate the wall scroll that Broken Sword inscribed one last time]].
** His epiphany of what the wall scroll truly represents (that every warrior's dream is to create and live in a world at peace) is what ultimately convinces Nameless to spare his life.
