This review was published when the game was in v0.0.3a (most likely the final update, but mentioning just in case).
Theme: Stardust and other objects related to it. It's executed decently, with buyable and upgrade names often taking advantage of that.
Gameplay and core mechanics: The game does not really have a unique core mechanic. It starts with a typical first layer, where you reset accumulated energy for stardust to buy upgrades. Once you have enough energy or stardust, you can start claiming stars or nebulae, then unlock crystals once you have enough of all three previous layer resources. They have different effects and purchasable things (stars have constellations that boost energy generation and star effect, nebulae have nebula buyables that grant various boosts with some nerfs as well, and crystals provide shards that you need to assign to the best upgrades).
Balancing and difficulty: Decent speed and average difficulty. The game doesn't require significant waiting, but you do need to create a good setup for nebulae and crystal upgrades to progress (luckily, you can sell them at any time).
Content on offer: Very short, you can reach the endgame screen in slightly over half an hour. Four rather small layers.
Polish and miscellaneous additions: The graphical style is very unique and appealing. Branches have different colors based on the layer they're connecting to, bought upgrades have a colored frame based on the layer they affect, and the statistics sidelayer displays the various factors that affect resource generation/gain base, multiplier, and effect in their specific color. The nebulae layer also uses a more blue tint for its background. For some reason, the game detects a corruption in my endgame save even though it works perfectly fine.
While the various graphical touches are nice and the foundation is solid, the tree's lack of content makes it overall underwhelming. A shame, because I could see something stellar if it received a little more development...
