Ah, Psychonauts. A Cult Classic beloved by many. I went in anticipating a lot, and this game blew me out of the water. Here's a little review with little to no spoilers.
Basic Plot Summary: After the first two games, Raz becomes a Junior Psychonaut Intern. But look out, as there's a mole in the Psychonauts, who wants to resurrect an enemy to the Psychonauts that was thought to be long-dead.
Improvements: Combat feels way better, Point of No Return is explicitly advertised (and the post-game allows you to complete everything you missed regardless), increasing of mental health awareness allows for more informed portrayals of the human psyche, platforming feels less floaty
Pros: Great music, solid voicework, motivating and tragic characters and developments, amazing levels
Cons: Post-game is very lacking, interns feel very bland (with the exception of Sam and Norma), not as funny as the first game (but I guess that's to be expected), doesn't feel like there's as much to do compared the original
All in all, if you enjoy bizarre, out-of-the-box gaming experiences, play this. Pretty much every level is fantastic, and the plot developments genuinely shocked me. I maybe cried once or twice. Double Fine is always a creative studio, and every game they make is always very unique.
