As much as I love both Super Mario Maker titles, their Mega Man counterpart seems to be a little bit better. Just imagine: jumping around, shooting Mega Buster pellets - it just feels right. Plus, there are tons - and I mean, TONS - of aesthetical, mechanical and combat options you can implement while making awesome run-and-gun levels which can be filled to the brim with fun and creativity. The possibilities are truly endless.
Let me put it this way: Super Mario Makers are enjoyable platformers... if you really have money to spare. Mega Man Maker fits the same bill - and it's completely free! To me, it feels like a deciding factor. Do I care that it's an unofficial level builder tool? No. Can I say that it's enjoyable like any official gaming products of the same type? Yes. I can't recommend Mega Man Maker enough to anyone who might be reading this review: just launch it up - and see for yourself.
