Quoted from the Heartwarming page:
"If you pick the dream with the godlike robot-cloud at the start but don't go down that route during the game, when the next dream rolls around, the cloud asks you in the voice of your first robot why you didn't create it. You have the option of speaking to your first robot, telling them that you got them, and that was enough. Whereupon your first robot walks out of the cloud and hugs you, saying that it was enough for them too."
That's the ending that I got on my first time through the game. I literally cried, and I still get a little bit choked up thinking about it. I'm not a particularly emotional person, so the fact that this game had enough impact on me to bring me to tears is incredible.
Since then, I've tried probably a dozen times to get the proper "singularity" ending for the robot-cloud, and finally succeeded today. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, and yet I want to keep playing because there are still so many options left to explore. I've seen most of the "grace" options but still have more to explore in the "autonomy" and "empathy" options and haven't even touched the "military" options yet.
Each play-through will only take a few hours (or less if you skim over the parts you've already seen) but the high replay value means you can go through dozens of play-throughs and still find new things. The humor and emotional impact of the writing make each subsequent play-through extremely worthwhile. I definitely recommend this game to pretty much everyone.
