I am honestly amazed by how much I enjoyed reading and playing this book. I am not particularly a Magical Girl fan, and the premise of playing this kind of character in something the New World of Darkness sounds like it couldn't possibly work. Especially since I have no love for the one anime who tried something similar (no offense intended to its fans, it's just not my thing). And yet... fan-game or not, this is officially now one of my favourite World of Darkness supplement.
Princess actually takes this premise that should by all right be ridiculous, and turns it into a story about a theme that deeply appeals me: the idea of playing an avatar of light and good in a world consume by evil. However, it manages to avoid the two pitfall and strike the right balance between idealism and cynicism: your characters aren't necessarly naive idealistic idiots fighting an hopeless battle and doomed to die, nor are they walking Mary Sues trying to make a Fix Fic. They are just good people trying to fix the world, and that world won't hold back on them... but that doesn't mean they can't prevail.
Mechanic-wise, the game is very complete, and offers tons of possibilities to customize your character. The powers are interesting, and fairly unique compared to other gamelines.
The lore also is very rich, with elaboration on all the culture of the Hopeful, giving tons of possibly for character backstories and campaigns. The book offers multiple antagonists of various types, from the Darkness to the Twilight Princesses.
10/10 with no hesitation. I highly recommand this game.
