A very thorough and enjoyable rundown of the series. I totally agree about the dreadful Captain Vorpatril Cover, which manages to be both sexist (nothing like half-naked women writhing around a fully dressed man to sell fantasy) and racist since Tej is described as brown/cinnamon-skinned, but portrayed on the cover as white with a slightly tan face. I'm amazed the author says she approves of this "artwork" - but hopefully she's merely maintaining a prudent/courteous stance.
